I recently visited The Eye Doctors and had a mixed experience. The place can be very busy depending on the day, making it challenging to get in and out quickly, especially when just picking up prescriptions. At times, it feels like they don't prioritize customer care, which can be frustrating. However, the staff is generally friendly and attentive when they do engage. I hope they can improve their customer service to make the experience better for everyone.!

Dr. Putnam was great. After that, everything was completely a joke. The person who fit my glasses, didn't tell me about all of the charges, which showed up on my billing later. And the worst thing is if you call to get help with billing you get put with an AI assistant not a real person. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encountered. I have a complex billing mess up and I can't get the help I need. So I can overpay on my bill so that I'm not delinquent or I can try to fight something that I can't talk to a real person about. The corporate parent of eye doctors here in Salina should be ashamed of their service. They have lost my business.

It was over an hour past my appointment time before I was seen.(It would have been nice if they would have notified me of their schedule running so far behind.) Good appointment with Dr once seen. Then another wait to get seen to get script/purchase glasses, which I did not become their schedule put my schedule so far behind... I will now have to make a second trip back to the office to get glasses... If that is what I choose to do.

I recently visited Eye Doctors Optometrists in Salina for a complete eye exam. I was not informed beforehand that I would need to pay a $50 co-pay. Only after the exam was completed did the front desk staff tell me about the charge -- even though I have Blue Cross Blue Shield, TriCare, and Surency coverage. When I asked for clarification, the staff seemed unsure and unable to explain why the payment was required. I ended up having to contact Blue Cross Blue Shield myself to get the issue resolved and the payment refunded.
On a positive note, Dr. Putnam was very professional, kind, and thorough throughout my visit. I appreciated the quality of care from the doctor, but I do think the front-line staff could benefit from better training on insurance procedures and communication with patients.

Had an amazing experience with staff for my eye exam. My partners glasses came in and were ready in 4 days. It's been 2 weeks and I've yet to hear anything. My 3 star review is due to not being able to get in contact with anyone to ask about the status. Called, left vm, nothing. Portal site is not set up yet but I know new systems can take some time. Hoping to hear back soon!

The actual eye doctors are amazing, but the rest of the process is a nightmare. They do not help you fit glasses to your face when you are picking them out. Nor do they'll fit them to face when they come in. The billing is a nightmare. They try to charge you twice or tell you that they are not sure why you have a bill. Then text you a few days later telling you that you need to pay your bill. Been there 3 times trying to figure it out what we actually them and why. Such a mess. But again the eye doctors are amazing. Go for your eye exam get your script and go somewhere else.
