Eye Care Center Optometrist - Irvine

Irvine eye care center has always gone above and beyond for my family and myself. They fit us in for emergencies and work with us to fit any need or concern we have had. The entire staff at the Irvine and Richmond locations are the best and all our doctors are kind and accommodating!

It was my first visit & Dr. Napier was truly amazing! I highly recommend her & will definitely refer my friends & family to her. Wonderful experience!

I usually go to Martan in Richmond. I had to use the Eye Care Center in Irvine. Mind you, I love Martan in Richmond, but, the Irvine office is wonderful also!! Dr Napier and the entire staff were absolutely amazing!!! I would definitely recommend them to everyone!!

Showed up for my appointment and my insurance covers my eye exam and glasses but not a contact exam or contacts. So I chose to also have the contact exam and contacts out of pocket. I have the eye exam and the doctor informs me that I have only one eye with astigmatism wich was a surprise since my past exams have shown both but I digress. So after the exam I'm looking at frames and was asked at least 5 times in 15 minutes if I needed help, but it felt much more like being pushed out as I was the last man standing. So then they inform me they don't have my prescription in contacts and could get my prescription from another store in a couple days but she had one close enough to get me by until then as I'm used to wearing contacts. This would have been fine except shortly after leaving I realized I couldn't even see well enough in them to use my phone. I called them immediately but it was no shock they didn't answer. They had closed almost an hour before their posted time. So I leave a message and ask them to return my call the next day. I'm still waiting on that call. So I go back several days later to pick up my glasses and contacts that I may actually be able to see out of. I picked up the glasses only to find they had forgotten to order my contacts, even got a story about how busy they were that day as an excuse. I remember being the only patient/customer there that afternoon. So I give them a couple more days as requested and go back. They have a sign on the door "Closed for employee appreciation day," well that's awesome. So I go by a few days later only to find out they still didn't order them. By this point I simply ask them to return the money I paid for the contacts exam and the girl informs me they can't return it to my card but gave me the choice for them to mail me a check or p/u at the office. I don't know why I would want to pick it up at the office as that's not worked out very well for me thus far, so I asked for it to be mailed to me. I very specifically requested a phone call from the office manager the following day. I was even asked "What time?" "Anytime" was my reply. Well, I'm still waiting... I'm still waiting on the check too. I would honestly take my business somewhere else IMO thus place has a limited selection and worse customer service. BTW, my glasses are fine, thus the second star, I felt it was more than fair. 11/14/25 UPDATE It's now been a week since their response vowing to investigate and promises of better customer service. I wish they were as good at following through as they are at promising. While I no longer expect a phone call, I absolutely still expect a check as promised for the contact exam, as they refused to give me the prescription, but it's of little surprise that I haven't yet. I am also removing a star for the continued hassle. We're all human and make mistakes, the difference is how you handle them afterwards.

Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful. My brother is in a wheelchair and otherwise impaired. They were so kind and patient with him. I would definitely recommend them!

Very time efficient, listened to my needs and getting a solution done very quickly. I like this place better than my last.

Costomer Service was swift and professional. The customer service was prompt and professional. The doctor was thorough, professional, and personable. I would recommend this office.
