The guy Troy with 23 yrs experience what a rude individual. Not only was he, but the other guy unpacking boxes was throwing papers on the floor when he had to help with the line of customers. I have ordered from Sams Optical for years, never had a issue till now. When Troy asked if I had insurance and then rolled his eyes when I Said I was self pay and thanked me because he said he didn't want to have to do the insurance? Wow, if you don't like your job go somewhere else. Like I am doing with my business.

I have gotten my contact lenses there for the past 15 years, and I will never be back. I have never dealt with more rude, dismissive people in my entire life. Wearing a badge with "22 years of service" doesn't mean anything if you're a jerk every time I have an encounter with you. Same goes for the woman who raised her voice and spoke over me every time I tried to talk yesterday.

I asked an optical employee if she could adjust the arm of some rimless glasses that I had purchased from Sam's previously. She said she'd try. When doing so, she cracked the lens.... She followed up with "sorry about that". I asked if there was anything that could be done as a remedy for what had happened and she said no. If she had told me that they might break if she tried, I certainly wouldn't have wanted her to try. She's the expert, not me. I have purchased several pairs of glasses from other optical places, and their employees are capable of making adjustments if requested to do so. Obviously the people at Sam's optical are not. Beware

I have worn bi-focal glasses for 30 years. This Sam's Club Optical made me a new pair and and the prescription varied in the reader part of the lense. The staff refused to believe me and made me feel like I was wrong not the lense! I won't be back!

Check your insurance benefits before going. Contact wearers may pay more and it wont be disclosed until you either ask or get charged extra at end of appointment. Dr was on edge and had an attitude. I guess having no staff and having to do everything makes him like that. Not a good experience from time if entrance. Left office without exam due to the unpleasant attitude of Dr/receptionist/insurance receptionist all rolled up into one pompous Optometrist. Dr Sheppard is surely missed.
