My family and I have been going to gaddie eye center in lagrange for almost 15 yrs and have always loved the store in the past . But this yr it has been appalling. First we were made to do the optimap which apparently isn't covered by insurance. I was not informed that this was now mandatory and simply told my charge leaving. After calling the office in louisvile and taking care of that with no help from the lagrange office. I then get a bill saying they have billed my old insurance I dont even have anymore . They were handed the new card at our visit . When I called to speak with someone about it this morning the woman I spoke to ( who did not provide her name ) was extremely rude and wouldn't even listen to me . Pracila at the louisvile office has been kind understanding and extremely helpful . I guess ill be going 35 mins out of my way to go to that office now since the lagrange one has dishonest billing practices and are rude.

Front desk staff and the assistant were amazing. Dr Jennings has horrible bedside manner and RUSHED through the exam so fast i could barely keep up with her as a healthcare professional myself . Showed 0 compassion and repeatedly spoke over my son and I several times throughout her assessment.

It's very hard to articulate with words, the energy of walking in to a new environment with new people in a new doctor and all you can receive from any of them is smiles and positive vibes.
Not just the Hospitality, but the assuredness of my comfort and the detailed attention to my exam from start to finish was truly World Class.
I 100% know that every experience we have in this world rarely happens twice unless that first memory triggers, a return, I can't see myself anywhere else with any other group other than Gaddie Eye Centers - thank you for taking a cloudy day and making it clear!

All the staff were kind, except for the optometrist we saw. She never introduced herself, so I don't know her name. From the beginning, she seemed irritated and robotic, possibly because my mother doesn't speak English and I needed to interpret for her.
Unfortunately, I also had to bring my 15-month-old son, who became restless toward the end of the appointment since it was a dark room. I was doing my best to keep him calm and away from my mother while staying engaged in her exam. To distract him, I took a yellow sticky notepad from the table end next to me, tore off three pages, and stuck them on the wall for him to interact while giving him the rest of the pad to hold.
Without even looking at me, the optometrist said flatly, "We do need these for other patients." I replied, "I'll buy you a new one." Her tone and attitude made an already difficult situation feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I understand toddlers can be disruptive, but a little empathy and professionalism go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience has made me not want to see her again.

Got something in my eye the day before and couldn't flush it out, went in the next morning without an appointment as a new patient and they had me seeing a provider within 15 mins and 30 mins later I was feeling relief thanks to them and on my way out the door.
