Regina K. Compton, OD

Dr. Regina Compton is the best optometrist in the area. My whole family has been seeing her for the last 16 years. She's been able to remove coal, metal, and rust from my eye. She's done house calls for easy stuff and even let us come in on a Saturday since it was an emergency. How many optometrists do you know that would do that? Beyond all of this, she's a wonderful person. No matter what she's going through, she puts a smile on her face and greets everyone as if she's known them her whole life. She's the only person we'll ever go see. If you want a wonderful experience and an amazing eye doctor, go see Dr. Compton at Howard Family eye care behind the Pikeville farmers market! I have been a patient of Dr. Compton's for over 25 years, and I can't imagine trusting my vision to anyone else. She has guided me through every stage of my vision journey - glasses, contacts, LASIK surgery, an eye injury, and now bifocal lenses and bifocal contacts - and she always provides exceptional care. Her compassion, knowledge, and attention to detail ensure that I always achieve the best possible vision. She's ridiculous!!! My granddaughter could do better then her!! She can't get anything right!! My husband went back three times for contacts within two weeks because he couldn't even see with the ones she prescribed him!! Kept telling us that he just needed to keep changing them till we found one that would work for him!!! Really??!!! She's also very expensive!! Asked for my prescription and eye dimensions so I could order glasses online and she refused to give them to me!! Will NEVER go back there!!!

I have gone to her several times & NEVER did I make it out of there in under 2 hours, in fact 2 hours was the minimum time it took me to get in and out of there. She does this to all patients, over books and expects you to be happy waiting forever. Her OD skills suck too. I was having problems with my contacts and she just told me it was due to developing an immunity to that particular brand of contacts and wanted me to switch brands. That didn't work! I'm also a medical personnel and happen to know that changing me brands of contacts that are the exact same type of material is not going to make things get better. Went to a different OD who got it right by having me soak my contacts in peroxide every night. Oh by the way she ridiculously expensive! I got a pair of glasses from her because I was desperate, oh how I wish I would've saved the money and bought me 3 pairs of glasses from someone else!

Was recently diagnosed as a diabetic, my vision was blurred so bad, I could not see, I called and they got me in, that day, Dr McCoy was awesome, he explained things I didn't know, he done a amazing job, I recommend them highly..
