Eye Health of Stanford

I used to love this place until my last experience there, this spring/summer 2025. They rushed my appointment, didn't listen when I spoke, and kept getting my prescription wrong as a result. I tried 3 or 4 trial contacts and finally found ones that would work. It's now October and I still cannot get them to send me my script so I can order them. I've requested it 3 times. Lastly, when I was done with my appointment I paid with a hsa debit card. They charged me a percentage to use my card. When I went to pick up my glasses, they said they forgot to charge a contact fitting fee; even though it was their fault that my debit card had to be charged again, I still had to pay another fee. I am They have gone downhill head first in a very short period of time At the same time, my boyfriend paid $750 (after insurance) for glasses he cannot see out of. They told him to wear them for a few months to "get used to them" which he did. He still cannot see and they can't be reached. As soon as I get my script, I am seriously considering changing providers.

been with them a few years, everything was going well until i had to schedule an eye exam in order to get a new order of contacts in, so i scheduled an exam with them over the phone on the only friday they have available per month (i work out of town Mon-Thur) and when the appointment came around i was sitting for around an hour and no one had shown up. was very disappointed and went next door to another eye doctor and got seen immediately

Great place for an eye exam! Everyone was professional and I was able to get an appointment for the next day. Not too much of a wait time in the waiting room, and the exam was straight to the point. Definitely recommend.

I've been going here for almost a decade and I've yet to have a single complaint. Best eye doctor around and the assistants are always so nice and helpful. Tons of cute, affordable frames and sturdy, too! I bought a pair of Warby Parker frames a couple years ago and they snapped in half within a year. I had to switch back to my old frames from here and they're still going strong. 11/10.

A recent visit to Eye Health of Stanford was disappointing because of issues with the doctor's communication and professionalism. First off, let me say that Tamela Brown-Murray is an excellent eye doctor. On this occasion, Dr. Brown-Murray was unavailable, and I had to schedule with Nichols. The repeated mispronunciation of my first name by Nichols and the receptionist was frustrating and disrespectful. Caro_LINE IS NOT caro-LYN!! LINE is LINE, and MY NAME IS NOT MULTIPLE CHOICE!!! Despite politely correcting Nichols and his receptionist multiple times, they continued to call me the wrong name. Moreover, the doctor's inappropriate "you're a half a century old jokes" created an uncomfortable atmosphere. I did not come to the office to carry on a conversation with Nichols regarding his November birthdate or to hear some of his "you're getting old" jokes. Dr. Nichols's bedside manner was subpar and disrespectful at best!!

Awesome visit Dr Joshua Nichols was great he got me all fixed up. The staff was all so friendly and knowledgeable too. I didn't have insurance and the out off pocket price for my visit was very affordable.they will be our family eye dr.

This is such a caring office , everyone is very polite. Dr Nichols is very thorough and explains things in detail.. I highly recommend Eye Health of Stanford. Michelle Stamper 4/29/2025

Everyone was courteous and professional, the receptionists, the eye tech, and doctor. Dr. Nichols was thorough and found my issues in no time! You won't be disappointed with this establishment!
