Walmart Vision & Glasses

I recently visited Walmart Vision Center located at 2536 Airline Dr. Bossier City, LA on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. I asked for a copy of my prescription as well as my sons. I was told that I cannot receive my prescription unless they asked the doctor which is Dr. Alicia Crooks. I asked when will she be in and the employee said on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. My prescription is due to expire on August 7, 2025. I really feel like my rights are being violated as in me not being able to obtain my prescription. I feel as I'm being waited out so it will expire and I would have to get a new exam.

Mark with the Vision Center decides to tell me today that I owe $20 because "the associate" put the incorrect Tier of lenses in my glasses. Mark informed me that they INCORRECTLY filed the $20 difference as a "copay" charge against my insurance rather than correcting the price or calling me to change the lenses in the glasses I bought or pay the difference. That conversation did not happen. Instead, they fraudulently made up a copay charge to get the difference for their mistake, ultimately passing the consequences of their negligence to me, the unassuming unaware conned consumer. This is 100% a scam. Apparently, I am not the only person that this has happened to. I just discovered a friend of mine (no insurance and paid for her glasses in full up front) received an invoice for $40 for her glasses as well. I instructed Mark to re-file the claim correctly, to which he responded "No, you owe this and you need to pay it." Then he hung up. So, I have this random invoice for something I did not agree to that will affect my credit because an insurance scammer named Mark at the Walmart on Airline Dr. in Bossier City, Louisiana took it upon himself to force me to pay for something I did not agree to purchase. I'm wondering how many other people they have preyed upon with this type of deceitful behavior.

Very disappointed, the staff is disorganized. I had an appointment to get contacts, I was told I'd get a trial & they'd call when they were ready to pick up. I've been waiting for that call for 6 months now. Meanwhile I had been calling to check & they still say it's not ready. I have been wearing expired contacts ever since. Jesus Christ, how much longer do they need?? After all the insisting, one day they just gave me a trial they had which was clearly not my prescription. The lady said "it was close to it" I have done wasted my money & time. It's ridiculous. At this point I just came to realization I lost. They have no answers & neither have they done anything about it. Do not recommend this place to anyone.!

I went in recently to get my routine eye exam. Dr. Alicia Crooks has been my usual eye doctor. She and her team have always been very professional. Was very informative about my vision needs and made some great suggestions.

I love Dr Crooks! She is the sweetest! & so patient! I hate the eye puff test & have a weird thing about anything being near my eyes but they take there time and somehow my appointment is still super fast.

The lady that was showing me glasses was rude and short. I gave her my insurance info while I was making an app to see the Dr. The center manager is rude as well my sister called him and told him that my insurance is on file I ate of fixing the issue he cancelled my order without my permission! Worst customer service ever!!! So disappointed. Dr should know about her employees! The lady that world there needs to know how to solve conflicts and own client issues. Also they should offer translation services for people with limited English instead of assuming that they understand!!!!!!!

I was shopping for glasses for my elderly mother, who is in a Dementia facility. When I explained to the optician, Mr. Mark Guyette, how difficult it would be to bring Mom in to be measured for glasses, he kindly and graciously offered to go to her home personally and measure her for the glasses! He arrived promtly, just when he said he would and measured Mom for her glasses. He even sat a few minutes and visited with us! His kindness and sweet spirit were so appreciated. He made a difficult task so much easier, and she loves her glasses! I would highly recommend this optical shop to anyone!
