I had watery eyes for a while. Got wrong diagnosis of dry eyes. Recommend to use some over the counter eye drops, not improved. Ended up going another ophthalmologist, diagnosis was severe eyes infection.

I made an appointment for 10:15 timer at 10:45 I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be and was advised there were two more patients in front of me. At that point in time I could no longer sit another 30 to 45 minutes and advised the receptionist I was leaving. 2 weeks later I got a bill for $50 for a no-show charge. I attempted to resolve this issue, after two phone calls I was told that they would not credit the $50 back. I will never return to Caplan Eye Clinic, Westbank.

The Oldest Eye Care Practice in Louisiana Caplan Eye Clinic was established in 1938 by the late Harry B. Caplan, MD in downtown New Orleans. In 1979, his son Daniel I. Caplan, MD joined the practice. A year later, Caplan Eye Clinic moved to what is now its flagship location in the heart of Metairie, just a block from Lakeside Mall.Brendon J. Sumich joined the Caplan Eye Clinic in 2014 and a few years later became a partner-owner of the Clinic. Dr. Sumich is fellowship trained in cornea and cataract surgery. Most recently, Caplan Eye Clinic has added fellowship trained eye specialists in the fields of retina, glaucoma, and pediatric eye care.
