Dr. Richard J. Doiron, OD

I definitely don't recommend using this optometrist as your eye doctor. They're very rude and disrespectful and have no compassion for patients. Years ago I had some personal health issues and other problems on top of taking care of my daughter who's Autistic so unfortunately I had to cancel my appointments on various occasions then I wound up in the hospital for over a month and during that time I didn't contact them and they considered it a no-show and then years later I called them again to Try to get in to see them at least for my daughter sake and not so much for me because I actually usually see another Eye Doctor but was going to go with my daughter so we could go together because her insurance doesn't cover were I usually go so I attempted to make an eye appointment for the both of us but the woman on the phone started arguing with me and that she would have to ask the doctor if they would see me again. So I will never Have my daughter go there or anyone else that I know as well. They are much better places that I can think of to get my daughters eyes examined that will treat us with respect And compassion, but this Eye Doctor office is not one of them.

I called with some questions. The woman on the phone was very kind and knowledgeable. I bet this place would be great for anyone.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. I visited their office several months ago and have been trying to clarify the cost of ordering contact lenses since that time. I initially hoped to purchase a pair of glasses from their center as well but the initial associate who helped me made fun of how advanced my prescription was and my 4 year old well-worn glasses. No concept or understanding of the fact that no one chooses to have poor eyesight or may not be able to financially afford to replace glasses from year to year. There was a newer associate who was kinder to me but the damage had been done. After I had that experience, I decided to cancel the order for the glasses I was looking at. I then trialed a few brands of contact lenses and found one that I liked. I was told in 1 voicemail that they were 70 a box (so $140 total) and then in another that they were 70 altogether. I then texted with their office and they confirmed it was 70 together. I called back yesterday with my payment info to put in an order for my contacts and was told that I owed 200 for glasses. When I clarified that I was not ordering glasses and shared that I was ordering contacts, they didn't have that information in front of them and said that they would call back today. The person I spoke with on the phone today kept saying that they were going to put me in the contacts that I've had before which doesn't make sense because I've never bought contacts from them. She also said that they were $120 for both boxes which is nearly double of what I was initially quoted. She also seemed confused about which pair I was ordering although I very clearly stated that it was the last brand I had trialed. When I asked her to send a photo of the contacts she was referring to as I was concerned she confused me with someone else or had the wrong brand, she actually sighed on the phone at me. When I called her on the fact that I was being treated poorly, she then hung up on me abruptly. I'm taking my prescriptions to LensCrafters where I've never had a negative experience. Very disappointed - I visited them several years ago and took my prescription to be filled somewhere else due to cost. I was really excited to be in a place where I could support a local business and buy myself both contact lenses and glasses at the same time.

I'm not sure what happened had been going to him for years. When I left his office my left eye was very blurry but he didn't adjust the prescription or question it. I think it's just a matter of not saving the last measurement as it was a recheck. He didn't bother to check why - just gave me the prescription based on blurry vision. Maybe because I buy online for contacts and glasses. Very dissatisfied and disappointed this time. Won't be going back.

I just wanted to thank Dr. Doiron and his staff for such great care. I received a thorough eye exam after I met the front front office. I was a new patient and it was very easy to get registered. Excellent state of the art equipment and he and the staff are very professional and proficient in operating them. The optical department was very nice. The options are available for all, sunglasses and regular glasses or whatever you need to complete your order.. I went with regular glasses with some add on and couldn't be more happier. I received a final adjustment and I am very happy with all. Thank you to all.

Staff is always very friendly and helpful. You get a sense of trust when you meet with and discuss your eye health with Dr. Doiron. We have been going for years and have had wonderful experiences every time. We have even been bringing our two children there since they turned 3. They do great with kids too!

I've been Dr. Doiron's patient for at least a decade and a half-he's very professional and thorough. I never have to wait long for my appointment and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I am grateful for the new mapping equipment-it gives me peace of mind to know that my appointment is so thorough!

Very complete eye exam and very much appreciated him explaining everything in detail so I could understand. He took a good amount of time checking out everything and he gave me a lot of confidence. Also Erin who helped me choose glasses was extremely helpful. I liked her suggestions and again she took as much time as I needed to help me make my choices. All in all a very good first experience!
