If you looking for a thorough eye exam, Dr. Nadeau did the job. However, go elsewhere for the purchase of corrective lens. I can only address my experience with a staff member who was untrained and unable to take a accurate measurement of the frame size needed as well as how to place a correct order for the prescription lens needed.

I had inflammation in one eye due to contacts..i wear special large Sclera Lens contacts..Dr Nadeau was not my primary eye dr.as I was on vacation in Maine..he performed a thorough evaluation, diagnosed the problem and prescribed an eye drop drug that cured the inflamation.

Dr Nadeau was condescending and critical after I expressed a general preference for preventive care as opposed to medical tests and prescription drugs. Pressured me into choosing progressive readers instead of trying less expensive bifocals first. I paid $400 for a pair of glasses - the office convinced me to buy unlimited scratch repair for an additional $60, which I've never needed. The eye exam cost me $200 because of my deductible. All in all I paid $660 for one pair of glasses, and after 2 years I need a new pair. The support you get from buying the glasses from their office never became apparent to me. I moved to Lincoln Medical Partners Ophthalmology in Damariscotta, where I have a wonderful doctor. I payed $14 out of pocket (even with the deductible unmet) for an eye exam, and I can buy better glasses online for $80.
