Sebago Primary Eye Care Services (SPECS)

My introduction to Dr. Gordon was when I went with my husband to a class about diabetes and eyecare at the Bridgton Hospital. Dr. Gordon has an excellent background in many issues of eye health besides fitting us with the proper glasses for our needs. I am so glad we both switched to him for eye care. One day last winter I awoke seeing twinkling white lights in the outer edge of one eye. We were having a March blizzard so I stayed home and went back to sleep. Early the next morning I had no vision at all in that eye, so I called my Dr., who said go to the Emergency Room now. There they had a small device to look at the eye, and knew I needed a hospital with a special MRI to see if there'd been an eye or brain bleed. Either Portland or Boston, and don't drive myself! A friend picked me up, and asked if I would see his special eye Dr. first. He called Dr. Gordon, who said bring her here at once. (Another lucky coincidence). Dr. Gordon took me in immediately. And he has large equipment to take pictures of the eye. After examining my eye, he said it looked like I had a stroke in the eye, or in the artery feeding blood to the eyes. He also knew what Portland eye specialist could get me into the hospital. Shortly my friend got me to Maine Med., where I was admitted. (thank goodness our towns know how to plow. Denmark, Bridgton, and 302 were fine.) I was in hospital for 5 days on high dose prednisone, and more tests. Dr. Gordon's diagnosis was correct. AND quick actions and driving got my right eye saved (lights were starting to twinkle in THAT one too.) Some vision has returned. Other eye is fine, restored completely. Thanks to everyone who helped me through that day. I think we were all guided and available due to a little angel help as well!

As with every visit, your eyes are well cared for here. Dr. Gordon works with all of the latest technology to give you the best results possible. His staff is very personable & knowledgeable. My wife helped steer me to her eye doctor, Dr. Gordon, and I have been pleased with his professional eye care since.

I would to thank the team at Sebago Primary- Bridgton location for their kindness, patience, and assistance during my visit. It's been a long while since I've been to the eye doctor and some things have changed but I was very happy with the way the staff as well as the doctor made me feel at home. The doctor informed of the things I needed to look out for as well as providing recommendations on items I should get, I felt well informed. Thank you again for the wonderful service.

Always friendly, helpful staff. Dr Gordon is always smiling, laid back attitude makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend SPECS Eye Care!

I highly recommend SPECS-Bridgton. Everyone there was super nice, informative and quick to get you in and out. Dr. B was great! He was very thorough with his exam and made you feel right to home! He was very professional and answered any and all questions!

It had been more than a few years since my last eye exam but my experience at SPECS was very pleasant. Everyone was very professional but also very helpful and friendly.
