Great experience vs Portland, well worth the drive. Still waited, but not as long and waiting room/staff seemed friendlier. Dr Nolan knocked it out of the park compared to the Portland option. Would highly recommend giving this place a go if you've had extremely bad experiences in Portland.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice and Dr. Nolan. From the secretary to his AMAZING assistant you feel welcomed and not a number but a patient. I had thought the days of putting the patient first were long gone but it was very refreshing to see that Dr. Nolan and his staff believe in the old fashion way of treating patients! I felt confident in any decisions Dr. Nolan made about my care and he even called me the evening of surgery to check on me and said to call his personal cell phone over the weekend if I had any concerns. This could of been a very stressful and nerve wrecking experience from the start however thanks to the wonderful staff and Dr. Nolan they made it go as smoothly as possible. I would highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Patrick Rapuano has been amazing through my surgery and aftercare. We had a hiccup post care and he went above and beyond to take care of me. He cares about his patients and it shows. Dr. Sirus Hamzavi Was also very helpful with my aftercare and very kind. Thank you both for the amazing care.

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst Dr's office I've ever been to. They set me up with a doctor that came into the room and instantly said, "I can't help you. I don't specialize in your condition." They will do anything to make a buck. Maine General sucks!!

The communication regarding referrals needed prior to an appointment is lacking. The first time I brought my daughter there I was told they needed a Mainecare referral from her primary care doctor and again a year later the same thing happened. They didn't communicate this information prior to the appointment so she could be seen timely. I spoke with the manager and she stated that "patients usually forget they are told to get a referral when they make the appointment." This was not the case, I was never informed until the day of her appointments both times. I would like to see them send out reminders for the referral at the same time of the reminder of the appointment. Unfortunately, the office staff wasn't able to explain why I wasn't told prior to the appointment which is unprofessional. I was pleased with the doctor and assistants during our first visit and wasn't able to see the doctor for the second visit.

Wonderful staff, caring, kind & friendly. What a contrast to the "other" place that does cataracts. Can't say enough good words. Dr. Nolan is professional, friendly & cares about the welfare of his patients. And the most number of people I've seen in the waiting room was 5! Love this place! So glad people in the area now have a choice of where to go.

Dr Lavin s amazing. The nurses that take us back are amazing. The front desk lady is Awful!!! She is rude. Unhelpful. Not even a little bit friendly. The 1 star is for her. 5 stars for the rest of the office

Was referred to Dr. Michael Nolan by my Eye Doctor for a specific vision issue. Very impressed with all aspects of the office visit. Dr. Nolan was very clear & caring with his approach. Near the end of my visit and after my eyes had been dilated, I specifically remember him leaning in to try helping me read (as I struggled) some questions I had prepared before my visit. I was referred for an MRI and Dr. Nolan called the very next day to give the results of the scan.
