I've been going to this practice as it has evolved over many years. Now my husband is also one of his patients. The staff is SO friendly, skilled with their individual roles, helpful and accommodating. Dr. Roush is brilliant in his role as an Optometrist, keeping up with the latest science in the area of vision care. I know this because I ran into him leaving from an inservice at an other facility as I was leaving my place of work. He also provides education to his patients as to what he is seeing regarding our own eyes. He helps us care for our very precious gift of sight.

I have gone here since I was a kid in the 80s. I remember the Dad, Dr Rouch, and he was such a nice guy to us kids when he came to Canal Elementary School and did a simple exam....probably to get us youngins used to some of the tools of the trade. Then, I moved back home to Westbrook after 11 years and started seeing the old man's son, Eric. That dude is the very best Optometrist I have ever seen. He is thorough as heck and friendly while being that thorough. The only knock I have about the business, however, is that they don't take insurance for glasses any longer. I can't do cash at the moment and my insurance doesn't work with reimbursements. I will have to get them somewhere else but will still come down to see Dr Rouch every year, from Augusta. An hour drive is an extremely small price to pay to collect some of the awesome vibes that Dr Rouch emanates. Good people.

I paid for thin lenses. They gave me thick lenses and said they are thicker because my prescription got stronger. Long story short, Bullshit!
Now they claim they don't know me. That would be expected. I spent thousands there.
