Sam's Club Optical Center

The 5 star rating is 100% deserved, I've been coming here since 2012 for eye exams, glasses, and contacts and I have never had a problem. This is my favorite place to get my glasses. Affordable frames with good discounts and the doctor and staff are so knowledgeable and friendly! Dr. Mehta makes you feel comfortable and is super kind. The opticians know what they are doing, find you deals, and have created a great environment. In my latest visit one of the opticians (Heather) was so helpful and kind every step of the way! For sure would recommend for glasses, contacts, sunglasses, and eye exams!

Never bought glasses from Sam's Club before but I had a great experience. At first I was hesitant because the choice of frames was limited. But I found 2 that I liked and bought 2 pair. (I always buy a spare pair.) When they were delivered I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the end product. What really impressed me was when I broke one pair 2 weeks after receiving it and they found another pair on site that the lenses could fit into and just gave me them at.no charge, despite them being more expensive than the pair I bought. The manager of the Annapolis store took great care of me. Also had my eye exam there and really liked the doctor. Great price, great service and high quality, although selection could be broader. Still, I'm very happy with what I got.

They sold me a pair of adult glasses, for my 5 year old. Then the associate taking the PD was unaware of what she was doing which made the prescription wrong. The lenses were adjusted not according to the prescription. The lab just decided to add a prism that was NOT on my daughter's prescription. This completely ruined any progress my daughter made with her eye sight. I was informed she needed surgery because her eyes were not working together, due to the inaccurate, irresponsible, and misguided decisions of Sams Club Optical. I returned the glasses and went to a different eyeglasses provider. Now my daughter's eyes are working well and she is in the correct glasses. Sams should call before making any unauthorized changes that damage eyes. The associates should be trained more thoroughly so they don't sell adult glasses to children and so they can appropriately read prescriptions....

Dr. Mehta is great. He's been taking care of my son for a few years now. My son and I have had the pleasure of dealing with Yvonne at the optical center. Yvonne is very kind and always very welcoming. She remembers us every time we come in and talks to us like we're friends. She is such an asset to Sam's club and I hope the management recognizes that.

Love the doctor! He give a thorough exam and is very professional while being pleasant. The staff takes a while to get to you, though. The prices are pretty good and they have a great selection of glass. The turn around time is very quick.

Does anyone know the name of the optometrist at this location? I've used him for the past four years or so, and recommend him highly, as his prescription is the most precise I've ever had. However, good luck getting in touch with him. The optical department at the Sam's Club in Annapolis is impossible to deal with. Good luck even getting them to answer the phone. I can't. Making an appointment is impossible, and showing up there to see him without one is futile: they won't let you. Good luck.

Absolutely love going there the doctor is great he's been there for years very thorough. The staff is great to work with. Would highly recommend.

Went in on a Monday at 5:00 to get a new pair of glasses. Staff member took 20 minutes to figure out what my insurance covered. Usually takes 5 minutes at Walmart. Then she kept getting confused on what I wanted - asked for a new pair of glasses, she kept wanting to just get me new lenses. Finally I got to department manager, who was not much better. A little faster but still kept on getting request wrong and told me a needed a new prescription. Given all the problems, I had with them, I had no faith they would get my prescription right or the glasses fit right. I left and reported issue to Sam's Club supervisor on duty. She appologized, but did not offer a solution. I will not be coming back and I would advise anyone to avoid the optical department at this Sam's. They are not trained in handling eye prescription and eyewear and waste customers time.
