Dr. George W. Duncan, MD

I am not a patient at this facility. However, I had an interaction this morning with an employee in the parking lot. I am a member of the gym next door. Often times we use the parking lot to run/walk as a part of our workout. While walking this morning, this employee in her vehicle aggressively accelerates in our direction and we are forced to move on to the curb. I was informed that this employee cares for the stray cats outside and she felt that we were threatening the cats. We don't engage with the feral cats outside and even if that were the case, it doesn't warrant you driving your car in a menacing manner to threaten and intimidate us. I have difficulty understanding how a facility that provides medical care can employ someone with such disregard for people that are trying to maintain healthy habits.

Dr Foley has been very helpful, always friendly. My daughter just started seeing Dr Jensen and we are very pleased. She's very thorough and good with kids. I've recommended this place to my mom who had cataract surgery with Dr Duncan, and my husband. Highly recommended.

I want to love this place, but every single interaction I've had with this business has not gone well. The ball has been dropped several times. We were referred here for my 2 year old daughter. Latest issue being I ordered her replacement lenses in May and was told that this replacement would be free under warranty. A few weeks go by and I call for an update because no one reached out. Spoke with Lori (the lady we usually speak with) and she didn't even know what I was talking about. When she finally looked into it, she said that the replacement would actually NOT be free, and I would have to pay $125 out of pocket. Not a big deal, but still not what I was initially told. Fast forward, we're now in July...I called at the beginning of last week to have my daughter's lenses shipped to my home since they were finally in. Paid $10 and they're still not here. Called the office for an update and they had no info to give me. Mind you my daughter needs these lenses because her other ones were broken, and this company was made aware of that. So she's gone nearly 2 months with broken lenses. This was also after they forgot to include the strap for her Miraflex glasses. So we had to drive from Centreville to Towson and back AGAIN after picking her glasses up initially. I'm sure everyone has had great experiences here, but we unfortunately have not.

I have been going to MD EYE CARE for about 15 years, I believe. I moved to this location with them. I've always had the same Dr. George Duncan, unless he was ill. Even when I had my cataract surgery; it was him and his daughter, (forgot her name) Ms. Dr. Duncan assisting. I have Lupus, so caring for my eyes is not cut and dry, but I never felt rushed or 2nd rate. In my book MD EYE CARE and the Dr.'s Duncans, and staff, deserve 5 stars.

The doctors are okay but DO NOT USE THE OPTICAL SHOP! My glasses did not fit. I was told that silhouettes had options for colors and ear pieces. The optician drew a line on the glasses to 'resize' them. When I couldn't see out of the new glasses and returned them to be corrected A MONTH went by and I had to contact them twice and I still don't have glasses.

Caution! The establishment has a volatile person who works for the office and tries to hit people in the parking lot with her car if she feels that her stray cat is threatened. She wanted to hit me with her car, saying that I was chasing her cat when I only walked past her car and cat. Very unstable.

Dr Duncan is the best! He was so helpful for my Mom today. Her sight has been restored, thanks to Dr Duncan and others! Thankful!
