Dr. Mary Louise Collins, MD - Ophthalmology at GBMC

When all other pediatric Ophthalmologists were unable to actually manage my son during an eye exam at about 18 months old, Dr. Collins patiently soothed him and was able to diagnose his condition and treat it successfully. She ultimately performed a very successful surgery to correct his eye alignment and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. He's 11 years old now and we'll never go anywhere else until they kick us out when he's too old for Dr. Collins to treat!

Dr. Collins has performed two surgeries on our daughter and we couldn't be happier with her and her office. He communication and advice has always been excellent and very helpful to our family. She is our little girls favorite doctor!

nicest people, easy to get appointment (30 second wait before live person answered). Dr. collins is amazing with kids (at least mine). Highly recommend the practice and dr. Collins.

I can't say much about the patient care because I never finished scheduling the appointment for my son. I CAN say the individuals in charge of scheduling appointments were rude. After waiting for over a week to hear back, I was given the option of bringing my son in during his nap time (I am sure he would have been super cooperative without sleep...) or wait another month to be seen. I was concerned because my son just started showing signs of having an issue this week and it has gotten worse. Despite this, the words "then it must not be that urgent" were heard from someone in the background. I would think a little more tact would be used in general, but especially when dealing with parents of young children who are doing the best they can. I WAS able to get a same day appointment that worked better with our schedule at another pediatric ophthalmology office. The other office also got back to me within ten minutes of me calling.

I wish I still lived in Louisiana because she was a great gyno. She made conversation and was really easy going while performing your check up. It was a great environment. I also like that I was able to talk to her directly when I got results from my tests. The staff was also very friendly and accomodating. I had blacked out after getting a test done and they made sure I had food and water and repeatedly checked on me before I left. Wish there were more offices like this in Maryland.

An exceptionally excellent doctor! When my son had some rare symptoms she assembled a room full of professionals to agree on a diagnosis. I've only seen stuff like this in movies. Very impressed.
