Absolutely love this place! They handle myself , husband and children! This place feels like home and we always get treated like we are family! I appreciate the consistency and knowledge all the staff members have! Insurance is always handled and they know their business inside and out! Walking into any other eye place is intimidating and way to $$$$ , this place is a one stop shop, no upselling just HONESTY, which is something we need more of in this world! My family and I will be forever customers!!! I love them!!! Also have referred all my associates and family here and they have all had the same experience! Thank you to Sue and Jeff we love you!

Ended up With The Wrong Prescription
I have had the same eye glass prescription for 20+ years. After my eye exam at South Shore Eye Associates, they said my vision had changed and gave me a different prescription. I ordered new glasses and new contacts with the new prescription. Both new glasses and new contacts blurred my vision and had to be thrown away. I reverted to my old glasses for a year until I was eligible for a new eye exam. The new eye Dr. gave me a prescription the same as the old prescription I have had for 20+years. In my opinion, I received an inaccurate prescription.

Called to make an appointment since I just moved back into town and I would never go here just based off how I was spoken to on the phone. The lady who answered was extremely rude. I told her I had virtual insurance cards (which absolutely is a thing) and she said that wasn't acceptable , that she would only see me if I had a plastic hand held card which is being mailed to me. At this point with how poor the customer service was I would not go here even once my plastic cards arrived. If you want a business to thrive you need to have respectful customer service

I was not previously a customer or patient of this practice and found myself with broken glasses the night before I was leaving the country for a week and a half.
Despite their policy to not work on eyewear that wasn't purchased there, they told me to come by and repaired my glasses in 5 minutes flat and didn't even charge me for the replacement nose pad and parts.
Really exemplary community-oriented service, I know where I'm going when I next need lenses and frames.

My family has frequented this business for many years and the service has been consistently poor. Bad communication including clear direction on services to be performed as well as being "up-charged" for products which are not included in customer's vision insurance, is inexcusable.
We continually go back in hope they have improved. We are advocates on supporting local business. I truly hope this review is a catalyst for change. There are many other local optometrists in the area that provide superior service.

The eye doctor himself was lovely. However, I was surprised with a $25 charge for a "digital photo" when checking out. When I asked the receptionist why I was being charged for a service I never consented to, she said it was mandated by their office. When asked what this service was for, I was told it was for "early detection". It is a questionable business practice to charge for a service without prior consent to perform the service. I have fantastic insurance coverage which would have covered a digital retina exam which also provides early detection of issues. Won't be returning to this office due to concerns about their general ethics and the poor manners of the receptionist who hung up on my insurance provider who was just attempting to gather information.

My family has used this practice for many years. Dr Freedman is the only eye professional I trust; he is excellent. Likewise Sue is always welcoming and helpful. Jeff is AWESOME at fitting the glasses perfectly to my face and a great help finding the best looking frames for me.

Went in yesterday to pick up contacts that were supposed to be covered under my insurance allotment but when I was there to pick them up I was charged a hedty wage out of pocket for them and when I questioned the front desk woman about this (in an even and composed manner) she became rude and unprofessional. Even if it was an honest mistake on my part, which it was wasn't, there are kinder ways to conduct yourself especially as a receptionist. I have experienced other incidents over the years as well but this is the straw that broke the camel's back. I won't be returning to this place, they've lost a customer. Just writing this post to make others aware.
