South East Eye - Miri Park, OD

First time patient. Dr Park seemed knowledgeable and I was comfortable speaking with her. My issues: 1. the assistant told me she won't dilate as part of the exam and highly recommends the scan that replaces that for $40. I would have chosen the scan, but I felt it was a bit heavy handed to purposely exclude a normally insurance covered exam portion with a for pay alternative only. 2. There was no peripheral vision check, and this was after they mentioned a yellow light off to the side of a scan and I said I couldn't see a yellow light. This is the first time peripheral vision was not checked for an exam I had - and after that comment I felt it particularly necessary. 3. The last issue II was issued a prescription for computer glasses, my other glasses are fine, but if I break my reading or distance glasses I have no prescription to replace them with. It should have been offered or included even as there were no changes, the expiration should have been extended and made available to me.

This was our first visit. They we're helpful and professional. I liked that the doctor was not only involved in the exam but treated everyone as if they were her family. I observed her helping people find the right glasses for them. Not only fashion advise, but how to pick frames that fit the clients pocket book . She gave us options on eye drops vs using the machine. Told us up front the pros and cons as well as the additional cost to use the machine, so we could make informed choices.

We have been going to this office for about 10 years. Staff are very friendly and professional. Equipment is state-of-the-art. Miri is a great doctor. She listens to our concerns and offers great advice and guidance.

Please stay away from this office.The office staff is very unprofessional. This office will take you in and charge your insurance but they wont release d prescription until d co-payment is made n they call it a standard office procedure. The Doctor is also very rude. I have a personal feeling hey have discrimination in their minds. This office is always trying new ways to charge you n they are not helpful. Stay away.

I came here as new patient and I really liked Dr. Miri Park's compassionate caring and advises on taking caring of eye health. Staffs are also very friendly and helpful. Thank you.
