In early January I had a sudden vision change in one of my eyes. Dr. Behrens saw me immediately, detected a small retinal tear and referred me to a retinal specialist. A retinal tear could have resulted in loss of vision in that eye. However, as a result of Dr. Behrens' seeing me right away and her accurate diagnosis I retained full vision in that eye. As a side note, the retinal specialist said that Dr. Behrens is the best optometrist she's worked with for early, proactive detection of retinal issues.

My husband and I brought our son to see Dr. Behrens and I can't begin to describe how wonderful, thoughtful, compassionate her bedside mannerisms are. My son felt relaxed and comfortable all during the examination. Dr. Behrens took the time to answer all my husband's concerns and questions. Her recommendations are absolutely superb! Our whole family will be long time patients of hers!!! I can honestly say after 20+ years of working and being in the business of ophthalmology/ optometry you won't find a doctor of Dr. Behrens caliper. She truly is the best!!!

They even have a really cool eye spy table that Dr. Behrens personally created for kids! Such a unique touch that shows how much care goes into the space! My exam with Dr. Behrens was incredibly thorough. She's kind, personable, and professional, and she takes the time to explain everything in a way that feels reassuring rather than rushed.
