We really loved Dr. Cooper and we highly reccomend him and his staff. My husband's cataract surgery went like clockwork. So organized and efficient. I'm sorry we had to leave his practice because of insurance. You will be missed!!

My husband had his cataract surgery by Dr.Cooper. I found the staff pleasant and helpful. Not a problem contacting the office. Dr. Cooper took the time to answer all of our questions and his personality put us at ease. I would highly recommend him

I am giving a one star review not because of the medical care I received but because of the charging patients $50 to write a prescription. The care I received was excellent, however, I feel that charging anyone, let alone senior citizens to write a prescription is outrageous. I don't think having a sign that people don't understand should justify it. My insurance wouldn't cover this, rightly so. I paid these charges twice before I realized what I was paying for. I had a appointment scheduled in the near future which I cancelled for this reason. Although the care I received was good, I will not return to this office - it goes against my moral compass!!

If you want to talk to indignant, rude, unprofessional, apathetic staff, this is the place for you! Unfortunately, I can't speak on the actual services, I never got that far. An appt was arranged via our regular eye doctor for my elderly mom to have a cataract surgery evaluation. I got a message to confirm an appt for today. I was pleased regarding quick booking but when I tried contacting the office 6-7 times over the next 3-4 days, I could not get beyond the prerecorded greeting message. There's no way to leave a message. One time it went to a voicemail that said "this voicemail is not set up". I thought, what kind of place am I calling here? Seemed pretty unprofessional already. I reached out to my regular doctor's office and they managed to get me a call back to reschedule due to snow. When I expressed my concerns of being unable to get through to anyone or leave a message I was told they are a busy office answering hundreds of calls a day. I explained that I thought it was unprofessional for an office dealing in human health to not have an answering machine or a way to get through and asked what would happen if my mom had surgery and something went wrong? I was legitimately concerned if there would be another way to get through to the doctor. I was told quite indifferently that they didn't have the time or the staff to go through hundreds of voicemails every day and that there's no other way but to just keep calling back. I asked if an email was available, was told there's a patient portal. As we were not to the point of actually being patients yet, I asked if there was just an email to which she annoyedly replied "I will have the office manager call you". Next up, a call from Robin, the unfriendly local drill sergeant posing as an office manager for an eye doctor. This woman says "you called, you need something?" so nastily that it gave me cause for pause. I pushed through my discomfort and reiterated my concerns and that I thought it problematic that there's no way to contact the doctor to which I was told verbatim (drill sgt style) "I don't think WE are the problem here, I have been running this office for more than 20 years, we've been in business since1999 and have serviced thousands of people and never had one complaint or problem. If you had done your research you would know that Dr Cooper is THE BEST" ... me ... "excuse me, I haven't researched any" ... "you should go see Dr so-n-so at Harrington instead, I will cancel everything here ... me "excuse me, I don't appreciate you talking through and over me" ... CLICK. Dial tone. I have never in 56 years dealt with an office so insufferably indignant, indifferent, and uncaring. I am grateful to have had this experience because NO WAY will I put my mother's eyes in the hands of such apathetic people. I believe that staff is ALWAYS a reflection of the views and attitudes of those they work for ... HARD PASS on this place!

I second that the receptionist at this location is rude and tries to talk over you if there is a complaint. My 80 year old Mother went here for the first time yesterday. Her normal Dr. retired. It wasn't until after the exam she was told that to get a prescription written it was $50. They have a sign stating Glasses Refractions are extra.. but not everyone knows the meaning of this. When I called to ask about it following day, all receptionist wanted to do was argue and blame my Mother, who is on a limited income for her not understanding.

Update since the compliant I had put in about the experience my mother and I had at Dr. Coopers office I'm pleased to say that we have had a wonderful experience since and it's been great going over there but I would also like to add that I was misinformed the person that treated us so rudely that day wasn't Dr Coopers wife and for that I would like to apologize to her I was giving the wrong information hope she can understand how upset we were about our first visit and how badly we were trested by i have to say how happy we are now with this office and everyone there has been beyond nice and professional which is what we love the most looking forward to more wonderful visits to this office hope Dr Cooper and his family can continue to provide such a great experience for all of the patients that go there once again I would like to apologize to the whole Cooper family my intentions wasn't to offend anyone it was just a bad first visit and so I wrote how I felt at the moment things have changed for the better thank you all for such a great experience

Called to change apt receptionist was very rude and not helpful. Told Me To call back in a few weeks to make another apt. She did not have a calendar in front of here. What Dr office does that??

Dr Cooper is professional, caring and gifted with his surgical abilities. Definitely highly recommend him!
