Wachusett Family Eyecare

We have had great experiences with this office and appreciate their time and effort to help us. Sue is an absolutely wonderful person and their opticians have been so helpful as well. My family is grateful to have this office as a provider for our eye care needs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Casey's for over twenty years,. Today I tried to make an appointment for an eye exam. My insurance has changed and I did not have my new number handy. The clerk would not make an appointment for me without my insurance number. I found this to be highly insulting. I am not a new patient off the street, but a patient of twenty years. My three children are also patients of Dr. Casey. We have always paid any copays at time of service. To me this is a red flag that with Dr. Casey it is all about the money and not about the patient. I am very disappointed with this practice and will be seeking eyecare elsewhere as will my three children. It would have been nice if Dr. Casey's clerk could have shown me some grace.

Dr. Casey is amazing. He is very thorough, smart and gers to the point quickly. The woman who does the eye glass fitting is very nice as well. Reception staff always friendly and one time I had an emergency they were able to get me in same day.

Made the appointment 5-5-22 for 6-24-22, earliest available. That was OK since my former Eye Doctor's office referred me to Wachusett Eye Care as my former Doctor had retired during the pandemic. Arrived 1/2 before the appointment. Receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. Office waiting area was dirty. Finally waiting an additional 3/4 hour from appointment time I was pointed in the direction of the exam room. Met Dr. Casey and had the exam, told my eyes had barely changed. Good news! However, I was not given my new prescription and ushered into the eyeglass purchase & fitting section. A surprise since the Doctor told me I really didn't need to change glasses. Now for the frustration - it is 7-18-22, I still have no script, I am unable to get to the eyeglass purchase & fitting since it is ONLY on Friday and by appointment, for new glasses which I was told I don't need? So here I am, right back where I started with nothing to show for the visit. Perhaps it is because I'm a new patient, over 60 years old, BC/BS health Insurance, or other unknown factors that created an unpleasant experience for me. May it be better for others.

Very professional staff with experienced doctors. I've only had a good experience here in the last 5-6 years. Wife has been going to have her eyes checked with Dr. Casey for many years with only good things to say about her experience. Thanks WFE
