BJ's Optical

Tammi and Billy are amazing! The world of glasses was very new to me. They patiently helped me with my young daughter and then with me when I needed glasses. They never rushed me, never made me feel silly, and made it a place I'll send all my friends who need anything glasses related. Without them that location would fall apart!

The gentlemen were nice enough. It wasn't clear from the start that a lot was handle remotely. No doctor was present, just a technician. It was odd but whatever. The low rating come from them not following laws and not giving me my PD. "Under Massachusetts law, optometrists are required to provide a patient's pupillary distance (PD) upon request. They may not charge an additional fee for this information." The blonde women at the counter gave me some bullshit, unclear answer on why they won't give it to me. Something about it being a liability? And gave me a weak explanation of how to find it myself. I know it's just cause they want glasses ordered there, not online. But I specifically asked and was told no. I paid for the exam, I asked for the information directly and I am entitled to know all of the information about my own exam/body. Shady and shitty. Update: 2 emails and 2 phone calls later I was able to get it. I am just turned off by the place and likely won't go back.

I had great service. Lia was extremely helpful. She assisted me in selecting the glasses and sunglasses that complimented my skin color. She was so kind and reassuring. In addition, she explained the type of lens that suited my needs.

This optical center went through many changes in January of 2019, which is why it received negative reviews early on. However, my wife and I had a wonderful experience. Picking out her glasses was quick and easy, then we received excellent customer service curing checkout and again when we picked up her new glasses. (Which she loves!)

The optical shop in the Weymouth BJ's is the best. All of the employees are so nice and helpful. Especially Pete, Danny and Lia. They have a customer for life now!

Nice gentleman doing the local activities, the whole system was quite polished and went smoothly. It was also great that having other folks there virtually (tech and doctor) meant that they can keep the price of the exam low.

I have worn glasses for 25 years and had several providers. I originally chose to go to BJ's because I knew i would pay less. However, now I will return for the quality of care. I was so impressed by the extensive and thorough eye exam. The optician was patient and never pressured me to purchase more than I was comfortable with when selecting my new glasses. I will definitely use BJ's optical again and recommend others do as well.

The service was terrific...the technician Tami Vitale was outstanding . She was most patient and most helpful in helping me order my new glasses. She is a true asset to your company!!
