Great Lakes Eye Institute

Was scheduled at 10:10am, 30 minutes later they said there's still 2 people ahead of us. No one has 3 hours to waste at an appointment. The idea of an appointment is so time slots are regulated...How are appointments spewing into eachother like this. This place is a joke.

The doctor has no bedside manner at all! The receptionist wasn't friendly either. I overheard her talking to a patient on phone and was short and curt with them.

This was my first time here. I had taken my father who is handicapped to his appointment here. They had handicap parking right up front which was easily accessible and easy to get in the front door. The front desk staff and the nurses all were exceptional. Thank you for the great service. My father has a follow-up appointment next week so hopefully all goes well again then maybe I could up to five stars.

I would give a zero rating if I could. Been taking my dad here for cataract care. Every single time we come for his pre op and post op appointments we've had to wait HOURS to be seen. I can't go in with dad because of covid so I sit in car in freezing temps waiting. They do not schedule their appointments accordingly, they try to pack as many people in as they can, then you wait. The parking lot is almost always overfull and you have to park along the drive/road. If you are considering this place I would highly suggest you reconsider, unless you don't mind waiting up to 3 hours to be seen past your appointment time!!!

Was told I had hardening of the arteries in my eyes and cataract. I do not as I was seen today by another provider and have a clean bill of health thank God. This guy has no right being a doctor and was very rude to me. When I asked if that was serious, he gave a look as though I was stupid and pointed a finger as to tell me to wait. He then wrote something down, turned and said, "no." That was it....just a no. When doing the exam and I was not seeing clearly, He stopped and looked at me as though I was lying. I would not recommend.

I showed up for my appointment today for my annual exam. This was my first time coming here and I can honestly say I will never come back. Apparently this location does not do contact eye exams which is something they never told me when I scheduled the appointment. I am livid. Now I have to wait longer to get into another doctor.

Went to this dr. Last year and after waiting two and a half hours to see him in the waiting room, he was going to put me in the hospital to have a milia removed from my eye, and was even in question to do it. Went to my Dermatologist in Grand Rapids he removed in in less then 5 min. Do not waste your time with this dr., wish I had gone to my Dermatologist first.

Showed up for an appointment at 8:20 doctor didn't show up to work till 8:45 had patients in other rooms as Well been here over a half an hour what a joke. Make appointments then come in late. I wouldn't recommend this doc.
