Absolutely wonderful experience, could not be better!! I believe the lady who helped us was Stefanie, and she went out of her way to take care of our needs as a WALK-IN no appointment with issues with our bifocal glasses and old readers glasses. She adjusted our new bifocals to help with reading, cleaned them, then sonic-cleaned our old readers which desperately needed it... could not be happier with the professionalism and help of Stefanie from OptiCare! Improper diagnosis and script written wrong. In optometry, OD stands for "oculus dexter," which is Latin for "right eye." It is commonly used in eye exams and prescriptions to indicate the correction needed for the right eye. You'll notice on the script next to the handwritten OD is a dash LT which is indicating left eye. As a lay person, I did not know what OD stood for, so when I ordered my glasses online, I gave them the measurements for the left eye, which in turn, was for the right eye. I had already paid for an eye exam, but for them to give me the measurements, I had to pay extra and then they wrote it out wrong. I also had the eye exam the end of July and the following February I went to get another eye exam because my vision was still not 100%. according to the script, I was over prescribed. Now I know my eyes did not get that much better in seven months.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Jameson regarding some artifacts that appeared in my eye. I was a brand new patient. He spent a good deal of time listening to me describe symptoms. Next he explained what he thought it could be and then confirmed it thoroughly using his microscope. He gave an excellent explanation of the phenomenon, the causes, and what the outcomes could be. He was then extremely patient as I asked numerous questions. At the end of the appointment I felt much better and I have to say, extremely satisfied. The support staff here is also terrific. This has been a refreshing change from past experiences I had at Henry Ford OptimEyes and I've decided to transition my eye care to Dr. Jameson and his staff instead.

My daughter and I have been going to Opticare Vision Center in Bad Axe for 2 years now and both her and I love Dr. Kevin Jameson. He is professional, friendly, and laid back. The first time I saw him my eyes were very damaged due to me not taking care of them, he never made me feel bad about it, but encouraged me to take out my contacts every night due to tearing. I have been for 2 years now and my eyes are doing great. He explains everything phenomenally and I can tell he really enjoys his job. The ladies there are also fantastic and helpful! As long as business is open they have lifelong customers <3
