Eye Spy Eye Care

I have been going to this Doctor for over 20 years. He is absolutely amazing at getting your prescription correct. Better than any other place I went the 20+ years before. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I would not trust anyone else with my eyes. As for the reviews about the other staff there, I have never had an issue with anyone being rude or unhelpful. They have always been friendly and very helpful to me. They look up the prices everything will cost with my insurance before my appointment and are the best at helping you pick out frames. I would 100% recommend Eye Spy Eye Care to anyone, anytime...

Dr. Oppenheim is by far one of the best eye doctors I've been to. He is very detailed in his exams and keeps you engaged through the entire experience. He never makes you feel rushed or gives the impression he doesn't care about any questions or concerns. He really educates you about your eyes and your prescription. The office has its own charm about it and he has some cool stuff to look at while you are waiting. They always get me in right away with good hours to fit in after work. I tried a new contact lens brand and made the mistake of ordering a few boxes without giving it enough of a trial period. I hated the new lenses so I came back 2-3 months later and the staff gave me no hassle about returning them and re-ordering my preferred brand. I love this office! Won't go anywhere else

Dr. Oppenheim is fantastic. I couldn't recommend a stronger doctor who just has a natural talent for his craft and enjoys doing what he does. Reception could be better and more compassionate. The lab that they use is not great though. Glasses for me have taken more than the 7-10 days to come back on all occasions and they have messed up orders such as not adding AR coating which I pay extra for. The office does return the glasses to the lab no question, but the waiting time goes into effect again. Great doctor, but have patience for the glasses.

My husband and I have been very happy with and are grateful for the good service we have always received at Eye Spy Eye Care. We have gone there for a long time and always feel very comfortable and trust that Dr. Oppenheim and his staff ( Donna and Teresa) will take care of our eye care needs in a very professional and respectful manner. Extra thorough precautions are also in place for COVID-19 protocol. We appreciate the great job they do and highly recommend Eye Spy Eye Care! We like going to an excellent doctor who obviously enjoys helping people and treats patients very kindly. His staff members have always been helpful and friendly, as well. Eye Spy Eye Care is great; I've been a patient for 5+ years and would highly recommend. Dr. Oppenheim is super nice, incredibly thorough, and has taught me things about my eyes that have improved my daily vision. They also have a great selection of frames and can order them quickly if they don't have them in the store (they've done this for me a couple times).

Dr. Oppenheim is the most caring, professional, and intelligent optometrist I've been to. His staff are just as kind. Unlike other local eye places, they will not try push you on certain products or overcharge you. Thank you Eye Spy for providing optimal care. You rock

I honestly feel scammed. I made an appointment a couple months ago to look into a newer issue I was having, have always had 20/20 eyesight and never needed glasses. The receptionists could be nicer to the patients. I understand some people are organized and just don't have good people skills, but an awful lot of us in the reviews determined they're honestly just pretty rude. Doctor Oppenheim is great, he is the only reason I am giving this place at least a couple stars. I loved his methods for testing and that he uses the tv for something to watch to make the whole process more enjoyable and comfortable. He's very friendly, understanding, and seems very experienced and knowledgeable. I told him about what I do for my profession and he knew exactly what I needed to ease some eye strain that had been causing my overall fatigue. Next came getting glasses. I passed my tests and proved I still have 20/20 vision but wanted to get better blue filter glasses for staring at computer screens and a *slight* prescription to ease strain while reading on screens. At first they thought my insurance wouldn't cover it, then the doctor wrote something additional on my chart, and boom it was going to be covered...or so I thought. They told me more than once that yeah, my insurance was going to cover my visit, frames, and lenses, and that is the absolute only reason I did a fitting for frames. The guy that helps with frames is kind of creepy. In moreso just an awkward way, but I feel like he was a little too friendly with me and I was uncomfortable. After I finally picked a set of frames, he told me my total due for the day was over $200. I was shocked because they literally told me it was all covered, but I reluctantly still paid. I had chosen frames in a different color than what they had in stock and they quoted me 2-3 weeks before they'd be ready. Since I have fine vision I wasn't in a rush. 3 weeks go by, I get a call that my glasses are ready to get picked up. I go in, they have me try on my frames, and then tell me I'm all set to go and they'll call me in 2 weeks when they're ready....but they told me that my glasses were completely ready to be picked up?? They didn't say I was coming in just to try on frames that I already chose, they said the glasses were ready. What's worse is before I left, the creepy guy asked to confirm I wasn't doing blue filters. Good thing he asked because blue filters are literally the only reason I was going through with getting glasses in the first place! Very unimpressed at this point, but since I already paid for everything and made it this far, I can't back out now. I called back after about 2 more weeks of additional waiting for an update and the receptionist says that my frames were on backorder and asks if I got their message about waiting....but I already came in and tried them on a while ago. She then tells me that they actually are ready for pickup...so they just never called to let me know that they were ready for pickup and who knows how long they've been ready. Extremely unimpressed with the service of this business.

Dr. Oppenheim was the first optometrist to figure out what type of lenses I needed to really correct my vision. I've been seeing him for years. His staff is mostly new and so far they seem very responsive to customers. Highly recommend him.
