Portland Eyecare is amazing! They were able to get me in last minute before the weekend, and the staff was absolutely incredible--so sweet, caring, and welcoming. The doctor fit me into her schedule and was thorough while also focusing on exactly what I needed. I'm so grateful to have them as a resource here in Portland, MI. I'd highly recommend seeking care here!

Great experience. Got me in same day, everyone was super friendly. Even paying out of pocket it was extremely reasonable. They charged me $80 to remove a foreign body from my eye, while LO eyecare in grand ledge wanted to charge $200-400. Good, honest people.

We love Dr. Kempf-Andrews! She did my daughters' first exams and she made it so fun they just loved it. She was also very thorough and answered all of my questions. I accidentally messed up my insurance and the staff patiently fixed it for me without issue. Love them and have more appointments set up!my kids think it's such a treat to come here!

Best experience I have had in any doctor's office ever, very low stress environment and much more personal than typical offices. The staff and doctor are amazing, very helpful, and friendly. Best place you can go to fulfill your eye care needs!!

My husband and I went to them because they were a hometown Dr. , However we went to get our exam done we said we wanted Glasses and Contacts both. SO , instead of doing both exams at the same time, they did the glasses exam 1st and over a month later had us come back for the contacts exam. Our Copay is $15.00 each, We payed the glasses exam in January and just had our Contact Fitting today. We just left the office with our Trial Contacts that took almost 3 weeks to come in and they charged us both $50 each for the fitting fee. I knew that wasn't right so I came home and called our insurance that is covered in thier office and they said that it doesn't seem right. That to them it seems like double dipping insurance. They said that the exams should have been done at the same time not that far apart. We WILL NEVER return to this Dr's office and will make sure to warn all of our friends and anyone that ask if we know of a local Eye Doctor's office.

I am giving a 1 star because I have to give something. So they get 1 Star for answering the phone. This office is the worst Eye Dr I have ever been to. My wife calls to see how much they charge for Contacts and they can't even give her a quote. They said " I will have to talk to the Dr. and get prices for you tomorrow." She got off the phone called Meijer in Ionia and told them our scripts and they gave her a quote within 3 minutes. Maystead calls today and tells us the pricing and that it would be out of pocket because we don't have benefits remaining until November. So my wife called VSP and they said that is not right at all, That we have ALL of our benefits remaining that we could get exams, contacts or Glasses right now if we wanted to. The reason that we have all of our Benefits remaining is because Maystead never sent into our Insurance for our glasses and our exams... SO .... long story short. My wife and I paid 2 $15.00 exams for Glasses and then a month later paid 2 $50 exams and then we also paid over $500 between our glasses......... Bottom Line..... CROOKS!!!!!

Excellent care for my eyes. I drive from Eaton Rapids because in this office I am patient, not a number on an insurance card. Great staff!

This doctor and staff are the best! I drive over 30 minutes one way to see them. Highly recommend for care, accuracy, and options.
