Bifano Eyecare

Let me start by saying I never leave reviews but had to for this wonderful team of Doctors and staff!! I had a serious eye infection and my eye Doctor wasn't available on a Saturday morning. I called Bifano and they not only made time to see me during a busy weekend morning, but they monitored the progress of my eye infection for an entire week!! The Doctor called me on Sunday just to make sure I was doing okay. They truly care about your wellness and I can't thank them enough for doing this for me, especially knowing I wasn't one of their regular clients. Thank you to the Doctors and the friendly staff!!

I had a very thorough exam, they even do a peripheral vision test. The staff was very nice, I've been going here for several years now. I initially visited the office over 12 years ago when I had vision problem that appeared overnight. Dr. Chris Bifano did a quick exam and proceeded to call a retinal specialist at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor and schedule an appointment for me. For my recent visit, I faxed over my insurance information so that they could review my benefits before my appointment--anything to make things run smoother! The staff helped my pick out a nice pair of frames. I can never get a good opinion from my husband, so their help on what looks good on me we a great help even though I made the final decision. I did learn about the width of frames (some are too wide for your face) and how to figure out which ones to pick out to try on without trying them all on. I was able to pick up the frames in just over a week (holiday weekend) and liked that they at least had some Saturday hours for my pick up. If you ever have any problems, just stop in and they can assist you. I had a set of frames that had several pairs of the nose pads break off and they replaced them each time. (This was the worst pair of glasses I ever owned--it took me over 9 months to finally adjust the nose pads so that they didn't hurt my nose! I know that it was not their fault but a bad frame style.) I highly recommend Bifano Eye Care to anyone looking for a good local office.

Love the doctors and staff at Bifano. Everyone is friendly and super helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. They've worked with my daughters helping them practice with their contact lenses, and made sure they were comfortable and proficient before we left, regardless of how long it took. Dr. Dorony is very thorough and great to work with.

My experience at Bifano Eyecare was hands-down the best experience I've had at any optometrist's office in the area. One thing that stuck out to me was their equipment was capable of taking images of your eyes without the need for dilation drops, saving me the inconvenience of being really sensitive to light for the rest of the day. Dr. Chris Bifano also showed me the images and explained what he saw which I found to be very informative. Their selection of frames is pretty hard to compete with as well. All around fantastic experience.

Although the Dr who performs the eye exams was wonderful the prices for frames and lens is beyond expensive. The last time i purchased my eyeglasses I decided to get sunglasses as well as a regular pair and paid over $500.00 and that was not including the Ins coverage for the exam and toward frames and lenses. After that I decided to try Americas Best which offered a free eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $69.95 and did not have to utilize my Ins coverage to get this price. I got transition lens and a pair of sunglasses. The total price for both came to $89.95. I have since continued to utilize Americas Best as the service has been excellent and the price is well worth the drive. Until the prices at Bifano can come anywhere close to the savings that I have gotten at Americas Best I will not return. The prices are ridiculously high selection of frames is fair in comparison and I have been able to get free repairs as well as multiple pairs of varying types of lens without breaking the bank.

I can't enough about Bifano Eyecare. I'm a new patient and the whole experience was great, from my thorough eye exam with Dr. Dorony, to Ian the optician who made picking out a frame that fit my face and looked great so easy, to the rest of the staff being so friendly and helpful. Great place, I'm glad I found them.

Here's why you should go to Bifano Eyecare in South Lyon. After a very serious eye cornea injury on Saturday morning, July 20th, Dr. Jo Ellen Dorony examined me even though I had never been to their office and her schedule was full. She performed a thorough examination and started a detailed treatment plan for the damaged eye. Dr. Chris Bifano examined my eye again on Sunday morning, when they are normally closed, to make sure the eye was healing properly. On Monday, Dr. Rhonda Bifano performed a final full eye exam and referred me to a cornea specialist. She personally called the specialist to explain my serious injury and to set up an immediate appointment. The specialist concurred on the Bifano treatment plan and I continue on my road to recovering all of my eyesight. I will always be in debt to the doctors and staff at Bifano Eyecare for their excellent care in my time of need.
