University Eye Care, P.C.: Mark A. Rolain MD

This is one of the best medical facilities I have ever been to. Dr Rolain and all his staff are friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, informative, efficient, and highly skilled. The facility itself is very clean and up to date. They are always on time and I never had trouble contacting any of the staff and they always returned my calls promptly with good answers to my questions. I give them 6 out of 5 STARS. I would recommend them to all my family and loved ones. I recently had cataract surgery and I could not be happier with my vision.

Dr Rolain did my husband's cataract surgery and he is very pleased with the results . His vision is very much improved . I also saw Dr Rolain for an eye exam and thought he was very good and answered all my questions in a professional manner. The staff was also helpful and friendly and explained the normal office procedures in a caring way. I would certainly recommend University Eye Care and intend on keeping them as my regular eye care professional.

Amazing office, they were able to see us right away to get a piece of metal out of my boyfriend's eye. The front desk women were so sweet and helpful, especially Sandy!! Dr. Obertynski is amazing and so nice, she got the object out with no pain and done so fast. We are so thankful, our entire families will be coming here now for all our eye needs. Thank you so much for getting us in and helping him!

Seen flashing in my field of view and discomfort in my rt eye- called my old Opthamologists (4 in office). Asked is this a serious concern and do I need to go to emergency or do they need to look at it. They said they would look at it and will call back after talking to the doctors. They didn't call so I did 3 hrs later. All the doctors wanted to leave early for the holiday weekend so they said call somebody else or go to emergency. I called around and Rolain was the only office willing to see me- said he'd stay late to see me because it sounded serious. 5 pm on a Friday he diagnosed a rental tear and said I need surgery. Took me down to royal oak Beaumont at 8pm opened up the totally closed facility by himself and took care of it. That is so far above and beyond what most doctors would do for a patient, much less for an off the street new walk in patient. All I can say is he's earned my loyalty for life. Knowledgeable doctor with a stellar local reputation. Not only that but all the office staff are the most helpful and polite people I've run across with no exceptions. His appointments run on time, everyone is efficient and helpful- always a pleasant experience. Hard to find better than University Eye Care.

My husband Stephen had cataract surgery done with Dr. Rolain. The next day he tested 20/20 on that eye. What a surprise! Dr. Rolain and his staff are great! We're so glad we go to University Eye Care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rolain for many years and always found him professional and highly competent, giving full and helpful explanations. Recently I had symptoms that needed to be addressed on an emergency basis. Dr. Rolain went out of his way to schedule me in even though he was leaving for a medical conference. I really appreciated him going above and beyond for me.

Dr Mark Rolain has been my ophthalmologist since 1993 and he's helped me through 2 major eye issues that resulted in blindness. Both times my vision was restored. He's just amazing!
