Richie Eye Clinic & LASIK Center

I cannot be more pleased with the service and compassion I received while getting Cataract Surgery in my left eye. The Cataract was due to a side effect from retina repair Surgery late 2024. Dr. Reinsbach & his team were just awesome and so informative before the surgery, during, and after. Sometimes you feel like a number, but not here, it was great with everything happening just as explained. I had UV lense put in so required additional appointments with Dr.Schaefer to correct vision. All these appointments were great, as well. Special shout out to Dr. Schaefer, Maddie, and Landon for going extra mile to make this as comfortable & stress free as it was! I would, and have recommended them to everyone that mentions needing anything done with their eyes!!

Dr Malmanger is the best. Knowledgeable, thorough, I would highly recommend this clinic. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. They give honest opinions when picking out glasses and other eye products! Been going there for years!

I saw Dr. Jashua Spedding and he was very helful and informative. He took time at the end of his day and was very patient and thourough.

I seen Dr. Spedding and the eye exam went well but from there it went downhill. The woman who helped me in the optical department was abrasive and deeming to me as I tried to pick out frames. I was repremanded for picking the wrong size or shape that she agreed with. Sadly, I did purchase a pair of glasses and when I first drove with them at night it was awful. I work remotely and don't drive often at night or very far outside of Faribault (maybe to Northfield). On this occasion I drove back from St. Paul and I had a terrible time with too might light glare, distortion and just feeling overwhelmed trying to drive down the interstate. I went back to the Richie Optical department and was told the warranty was only for 30 days. It had been 3 months since I purchased the glasses. Fast forward I had my eyes rechecked at my old or previous eye clinic in the Twin Cities and told them I couldn't drive with my current glasses and I got nauseous driving with them. I now know the cheaper material polycarbonate lenses are not for me and I've never had them before. I was never asked about other lense options/prices and I'm sure the optical person knew I had better lenses in my old glasses I was replacing with the new prescription. Bottomline, I was sold cheap lenses and with my astigmatism it's not a good combination and that should've been considered or discussed. Having such a short warranty period was another disappointment as my previous clinic had a 12 month replacement warranty. I purchased replacement glasses with Trivex lenses from my previous eye clinic and I look forward on driving at night again.

Had annual exam with Dr Hanson. Did not receive new prescription. Called and asked about it and they said they would email to me. Still have not received prescription. Would not advise anyone to go to clinic.

I was referred to Richie Eye Clinic by my eye doctor for LASIK. Letting someone take a laser to your eyes is BIG decision and certainly scary, but I felt confident in the professional and kind care I received at Richie from all of the folks at the front desk, the nurses who prepped me for my surgery, and Dr. Reinsbach. My eyes healed beautifully and being able to see without glasses or contacts now is an absolute game changer. I would 100% recommend the team at Richie Eye Clinic if you are considering LASIK. I've already referred a few of my friends!
