I have only been going to see Dr. Joe for about a year and a half. But I have learned so much from him about the health & care of my eyes after cataract surgery & other eye related matters that have popped up unexpectedly than anywhere I've gone before. I highly recommend Glenwood Family Eye Center and Dr. Joe for your vision care & check-ups. He has an AMAZING staff as well.... everyone is super friendly, helpful, pleasant & professional. Thank you ALL for all you do!

My son called the other day to make an appointment and couldn't get in until the end of August. He asked the person on the phone if he could place an order for additional contacts since he couldn't get in sooner and only had one pair left for the whole summer. She told him no, your prescription is expired and that he would have to wait?! He explained he just needed to get some to get him through until his appointment date, and again no. She was rude and very short with him. After all it is his medical information, and if he wants to carry his prescription out and order elsewhere or online that is his right. I have since called to transfer myself and my family to a different eye clinic where we had been before and were treated with nothing but respect. I spoke with Deb and when I said "thank you" she said nothing, made a noise and just hung up. The clinic at Glacial Ridge is stellar, the eye clinic, not so much, they are missing the Heart felt care there for sure .

Glenwood Family Eye Center is owned by the hospital. The staff is great, very caring, knowledgeable, and kind. The atmosphere is clean & beautiful. While other eye centers closed during the pandemic, they stayed open to help those in need, such as truck drivers who needed to pass eye tests to drive, and folks who without care could go blind. Some folks drove 2 hours just to get their help. They are a great group of people you can trust will give you and your family the best of care.

I was very impressed with my first visit with Dr. Joe. He was kind and caring. He did not rush the visit, but he was still efficient. He answered any questions and took time to get to know me as a person. Great experience! I would highly recommend the Glenwood Family Eye Center.

Hated the frames that I was told were great, optician was in a huge hurry to get out the door. Her phone was blowing up. You could tell she just wanted to go for the day and get me out. I spent more money than ever before with all the bells and whistles for the first time to get the best glasses and contacts for once in my life and was very disappointed. Just not again

So trying to check in for an eye exam at Glenwood Family Eye Center and they are trying to force me to answer question "have you been tested for COVID in the last two weeks? If so, thiswere the results negative or positive?" ummmm I'm sorry, that is a HIPAA violation to force me to answer that question. I'm here to see an eye Dr. I have followed your insane rules : put a mask on that causes my anxiety to increase, sanitize my hands, stand behind a plastic barrier like a criminal... No, sorry... I walked out... Told them I have the right not to answer that question... The response I got.... "it's a Glacial Ridge Health System rule that we ask that". Not sure where they all got their HIPAA training from.
