Gone to them a few times and had a good experience. Just started new insurance and I have been calling for a month to make sure they take that insurance. I have left a voicemail every time and never heard anything back. Today on my 5th phone call to them about this issue I was finally told that they in fact do not take my insurance. As a patient this is incredibly frustrating to never get a call back. Not sure who is in charge of the voicemails but in my experience (not just with vision) if you leave a message you won't ever get a call back.

Dr. Thompson and his staff were very kind and very professional I felt cared for.. Then I got out to the eyeglass area and the staff personality was kinda rude. I called the Care Representatives And again I felt my voice was heard. Thank you. Today 11-29-2024 I picked up my New glasses. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The woman that assisted me in the Gundersen eye department was very kind. A big change from my last visit I increase to five stars

I was told to come in at 3:40 and when I got there they said they couldn't see me until after 5. When I got there at 5:00 I waited for over a hour before I finally asked if the doctor would be in soon, she said I don't know. I kindly asked if she could get a time estimate because I needed to be somewhere and she said she couldn't. I've been waiting over an hour which is absolutely ridiculous. If they couldn't get me I would have rather them just tell me then waste my time sitting here. I understand the appointment was made recently but I still called two days in advance and was scheduled to be seen at 3:40.

My daughter had accidentally glued her eye shut with nail glue and they were the best team. Emily and Jen were amazing with with her getting her anything she needed. Even going to the store to get different things to try because it was extremely stuck. Dr. Wolner came in numerous times to work on her eye even with a full schedule! Couldn't be happier. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Excellent experience with my eye exam! The rest of my experience was a disaster!!! Being asked rudely to pull my mask up while trying on glasses! When my glasses came in they didn't even adjust them to fit correctly!!! Basically said "They seem good, thanks and have a good day." Doubt I'll do business there again??

The customer service here is very bad. Receptionists behind the counter act like you are bothering them. In addition the contacts I ordered were supposedly on back order, but no one ever called to tell me that. Twice over a more than 2 week period I had to stop in to ask if they arrived because no one answers the phone. Then today I went in again and they said the computer showed they were still not in, but when the receptionist went to the back she found them in a drawer. ... I am astounded by the lack of competence of Gunderson eye clinic and won't be returning next time I need an eye exam.
