Total Eye Care

Took forever to get anything set up, blamed it on insurance, after it got approved they had me come in for 2 pointless checkups. Then they finally figured I needed a surgery and after I went through the pre-op stuff they didn't have a technician who could do it. They found someone but their machine didn't work. This took a span of 8 months. I went to another place found out that Total Eye Care either told me about the wrong surgery or they didn't know what the procedure would actually do to a person.

They did the wrong eye surgery on me and then only offered surgery that would destroy my vision further. I originally went in because light was bothering my eyes so I thought I needed my cataracts removed. The surgeon corrected my distance vision that I had requested to keep. When he did this it destroyed my close up vision. Now I have to wear bifocals and I never needed them before and I hate it. I never wore my glasses for distance except when I left my house previously. Now I can't go anywhere without bifocals. All because someone made a mistake at their office.

I had an appointment yesterday. My pupils were dilated with drops. The doctor waited about 5 minutes before looking at my eyes. This is the most important part of the appointment, so I have concerns that my eyes were checked as good as they should have been. American Eye Association says it takes 20-30 minutes for the drops to work effectively. Second issue-doctor brought me out to Eye Glass store to order glasses or contacts. Lady helping me stopped to ask another customer in the room if her mom had died. Then she ordered my contacts. She couldn't give me a detailed receipt with what I ordered. She said I will get it when I pick up my contacts. Strange-when she places the order incorrectly, I don't have a receipt. What do you buy today, where you can't have an itemized receipt. I have had glasses since I was 8, and I am now 48. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I will try a different place next year

The Glasses are junk, my walmart frames that I pay $39 for lasted longer. The fix for my stripped screw so the lens will not pop out anymore........ we can nail polish it ???????? Junk! Do Not buy frames here take your prescription someplace else.

My husband was completely disrespected by one of the ladies at the front desk. He was out Sourced by the VA to go there for contacts. The lady spoke to him with utter disrespect and was arguing with him about what he had done, what he needed to pay for, etc.. He told her that the VA was paying for it and she said no I have never heard of that. He told her that for special cases the VA pays for contacts and glasses but that because it takes the VA 4 to 6 months to get contacts they are now out sourcing it. She then says to him what makes you so special... so he tells her he was blown up twice in Afghanistan and due to his TBI. She then continued to argue with him about what he needs to pay for and what he had done there. My husband asked to please go speak to the Dr he just seen. She came back still rude and said I guess you didnt have this and that done and dont owe anything. He said and sorry??? She said yeah sorry... I am sorry but this is so very wrong on her part there was absolutely no reason for her attitude and disrespect.

I get great service here and the Docs are courteous and professional. Glasses are a bit pricey but worth every penny when you consider quality of product and wonderful service. I would recommend to anyone.

One star is too high of a rating, since you cannot return a thing. Seems like their goal is to provide you what they want or maybe what is most costly for you!!

They work hard to make sure you are very satisfied. Amazing customer service.
