Dr. L. Brannon Aden

The reason I chose Dr Brannon Aden is I polled all the folks 60 and over who came in my business as to if they had cataract surgery and lense replacement. After 20 or more folk told me yes, and Dr. Aden had done it and how pleased they were; I decided to use her also. It's been over 5 years now and everything had been greag. Highly recommend her and her staff.

I found myself needing cataract surgery and Dr Aiden was recommended by my ophthalmologist. She was matter of fact, informative and honest about my options. I was terrified but she and her staff stayed with me the entire time. In the end, she made it a walk in the park. I've never seen better since.

I started with her father Dr. William Aden around 25-26 years ago and somewhere during that time I went on to become his daughters, Dr Brennan Aden's patient. I have always had a pleasurable visit. Their timing is impeccable, the staff is sweet and helpful and Dr. Brennan is sweet, thorough and very informative. I recommend the Mississippi Vision Center to anyone who has vision issues beyond their glasses and/or their contacts. No complaints , oh wait, maybe one; Its too cold in the office but then again so are all drs office. So grab a sweater lol.

I sat through the entire waiting process in the office area(sit in the outer office, then sit in the inner waiting area, then sit in an exam room). This took well more than an hour. Dr. Aden came in and did a complete eye exam and told me I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. Then she asked me if I weighed more than 300 lbs. I replied I did and she told me she wouldn't be able to help me. Dr. Aden told me she would refer me to someone who could help me and promptly left the exam room, without any explanation as to why my weight had anything to do with cataract surgery. My weight was on the forms I filled out before I ever got into the exam room. If my weight was an issue, the process could have been stopped right there - but then someone wouldn't have gotten paid for an office visit and exam.

I am total not pleased with the outcome of my experience with Dr. Aden who performed lasik surgery for me. I was referred to her by Dr. Patton for cataract surgery. However, I was lead to believe that lasik surgery could make me less dependent on wearing eyeglasses. I decided to take a chance and get the lasik surgery. But, after the surgery in the second eye, I started having problems. When I researched other sources, I discovered that I would have opted out because 1. I was 70 years old; and 2. my eyes are extremely dry. In addition, I was not properly prepared because I was not advised to stop wearing my contacts at any particular time before surgery; I was not treated for dry eyes prior to surgery and I was not ordered to begin the eyedrops the day before surgery. So, I had so many problems with my eyes that lead me to find another doctor who removed the lenses that Dr Aden implanted. I'm now trying to recover from lense replacement. I wish I had not had cataract surgery without getting a second opinion. And, I would not have made the decision to have lasik surgery, if I had been told that my age was a major factor against it. Plus I can't explain why my eyes were not properly prepared. This has taught me an important lesson: always research before a doctor tells me what I need to do. I shall never blindly trust another doctor.

I have always received excellent care from Dr. Aden and her team. She is knowledgeable. She is always is to the point and recommends the best care.

I had a chalazion on my eye lid. I called to scheduled an appointment to have it removed within two days. I followed the post-op instructions and i was better in 6 days!

Dr Aden is very good, explains everything well and her staff are all very competent and nice.
