Lagniappe Eye Care

My eye appointment and my son's eye appointment went really well. Getting my glasses I was really excited and then when I got them they felt a little weird when I put them on. When I looked closely about two days later I saw they had a few light scratches on them which was what was making them seem blurry almost. I called right away and they told me there was no way they could have been scratched there, it must have been done after the glasses left the store. So I had to pay for new lenses after I had already paid quite a bit already less than a week after I got them. My son's glasses were fine but he wanted contacts and they said they had to order trial contacts or something and they would call us when they came in and it's been months now and they still haven't called. I don't think they put their patients or customers first.... It's more about money for this place.

DR. Morgan Eguia is amazing! Haven't been to an eye doctor in years and she was so nice and explained how the eye works and the reason I needed glasses, etc. Amazing staff super friendly service and affordable pricing. Takes almost any kind of vision insurance!

I was visiting family in Mississippi and had lost my regular glasses, so I needed a replacement pair fast so that I could drive back to my home in Colorado. After calling 3 or 4 other places and not finding anyone who could help me, I luckily tried Lagniappe Eye Care. They showed a real interest in helping me, even going so far as to check their stock of lenses for ones that I could use while still on the phone with me. Once I got into the store, they had me email the electronic copy I had of my most recent prescription to them so they could print it out for the technician, and showed me what frames were the most affordable under my insurance (VSP, which they did take; the first place I tried said it would be out-of-network). Once the order was in and I had paid, my glasses were ready in 4 hours and worked just fine, without breaking the bank. I wish I had just called Lagniappe first, but once I did, I was taken care of.

My husband and I loved this place and the staff! Everyone was nice and friendly, including Dr Marcev! I LOVE how they got me in and out quickly all while I had my 7 month old baby girl and had multiple frames to choose from and helped me pick a pair of frames out! Thank y'all for all your help! We would highly recommend this office! **just a side note: my husband came in on the wrong day/time and they still worked him in that day when he got there!! What an awesome experience for my husband!

I gave one star because there is no option to give less. I HAD been going here for a few years. Last glasses NOT a great experience. I thought I would do better this time but I could not have been more wrong. Amanda, the tech that helped with frame selection was great, as was the lady in the lab. Sorry I don't remember her name. This experience has been HORRIBLE not to mention very VERY expensive. So hers my issue. The Dr seemed to not care at all, she's just making money, especially off the over priced, designer frames. I couldn't find a single frame that didn't have a NAME attached to it. I got a nasty infection from the glaucoma tester. Called the day after my exam to tell them I had an issue with my eye. Dr not in that day, so they told me hot compresses and give it a few days. Following week, I called back. Dr not in but they would see me the following day. I go in, more puffs of air or more dirt maybe blown into already infected eye. My opinion, but this happened.They tried to charge me more than my specialist co pay. I really feel like I should not have paid anything but........ I was given antibiotics and sent on my way. 5 days later with a much worsening eye, and I was on antibiotics and using warm compresses, I'm at an eye specialist. I had to have a not so comfortable procedure to drain the infection from my eye. I ended up spending several more hundreds of dollars. I will NEVER go spend another dollar at Lagniappe. They lost a patient, although I never felt like a patient, only a customer. All my family is aware of my situation. All my friends will be aware soon. I hope nobody else goes through this nasty ordeal that I went through. The price was heavy, physically and financially.

The entire staff was so kind and helpful from start to finish. Dr. Morgan was a pleasure and made me feel at ease. Definitely one of the best experiences I've had in my 20+ years of eye doctor visits.

I loved my experience at Lagniappe Eye Care! I've purchased two pairs of glasses here and they're always super helpful. Also, I received my glasses quickly! Great service and selection. 10/10!!

Sad to say but I saw this review coming quite some time ago... the front office staff not friendly to all as they are to some (I'm still not quite sure what disqualifies you for hospitable service). I went in to pick up my contacts last week and I gave the receptionist my name and she went to the back to get my contacts. She literally came out with my contacts, handed me the bag of contacts while talking to another person behind the corner. Never, did she once say "here are your contacts, is there anything else we can help you with" or anything to that effect. She literally handed be the contacts and didn't say a word--not even a simple "thanks and have a great day". It was at that moment alone that confirmed Lagniappe Eye Care would never, ever get another dime of my money. People that work in jobs that requires them to deal with the public on a daily basis should, at some point, realize that as paying customers--we have choices on where to spend our money. And if the service is horrible--we can choose to do business where our dollars are welcomed. I do not recommend this business.
