Shopko Optical

Had an eye exam at Shopko optical in fremont, ne. After getting progressive lenses & frame through them, The vision was still not clear. I went back to get the eye exam done again & acorrected prescription. Got the lenses re made. Well, somewhere in the process the lens for the right eye was nearly double the rx strength it should have been. It has taken a couple years & seeing an ophthalmologist in another state to find this out. I have a minimal prescription in that right eye (always have). The right eye has always been better vision than the left. Yet Shopko optical in fremont, ne had made the lenses for the left & right eyes the same prescription strength! No wonder I've been squinting & struggling to see! As I had mentioned, I had already gone back to the eye dr at that location to get things made right. Other than that, the staff came across friendly, helpful. Unfortunately eye glasses that are no help is a waste of money in my opinion. I replied to their comment, emailed them that same day (12-05-25) & again today, 12/09. Awaiting their reply. As stated in the review, I had been there for the eye exam, and again for a 2nd attempt exam since the lens prescription was not correct. That's 2 times & it still was not right. So, after moving (too far too drive there again) I was unable to keep going back after them already having "corrected" from their 1st attempt. How are they still putting the incorrect strength in a lens? I go once to an ophthalmologist & it was told the prescription that is in my frames. It has never been anywhere near that strength of correction in my right eye! I responded December 5, 2025, 1:53 PM (central time), and have yet to hear from back.

Waited well over 3 weeks for glasses only for them to totally not fit right once I got them. Was told that different style of frame was needed, so one was suggested that I liked and everything was sent back to their lab. Approximately 2 weeks later, my glasses fit so much better but my vision was quite funkadelic with all of the prism. I tried them for a couple of weeks, but couldn't get use to them so they had to send them back again to have lenses made with less prism. Finally, love how things look and how the frames fit, BUT! I have to go to Shopko at least once a week because my lenses keep popping out of the frame. The lenses are too thick. Why would the lab ok the frames if that's the case? This is ridiculous! I'm going to be held responsible for the cost for different frames?! How am I suppose to know what my lenses are going to look like and then pick out a correct frame for them? I know nothing about Rx lenses and frames and the lenses aren't even made yet when they have you pick frames, without guidance mind you!

The associates here are so very friendly, cheerful, and helpful! They really help ease the frustration of choosing new glasses and they explain everything very well. Then there's the doctor! He has such a warm, calming, and comfortable vibe, he's very knowledgeable, and is very patient during the exam. I highly recommend Shopko Optical! Everyone there is just so great. I can't wait to get my new glasses!

Been trying for months to find a day that worked for me, but once I did, my expectations were blown away. Besides meeting with Dr Holmquist, Nicole was the one handing my appointment. She is fantastic! Explained things, helped me find the cutest frames, saved me some money, and all in all a very good person at her job, outstanding customer service, and nice to chat with. Thank you Shopko Optical!! See you in a year.

They are always friendly in person and on the phone. There is very short wait time from the time of arrival until the time you see the eye doctor. They are helpful with picking the right glasses. I was in and out in under 30 minutes! Love the quick visits and the friendliness of everyone you come in contact with.

Had a great experience here! I absolutely recommend. I didnt feel like I was being sold products I didn't need. They had a great selection and I was given an idea of price before the end so no sticker shock. I will continue to go here for my eye care needs.

We absolutely love Shopko Optical! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back every year! Wonderful place for kids as well. Glasses selection is large and prices are very good.

Shopko Optical in Fremont was great. Savannah was awesome!! She was friendly, very knowledgeable, and attuned to my needs. It was interesting how the doctor was there via remote connection and was able to control the Optical machine via computer. Only thing was the doctor didn't go over my scans. So, I guess no news is good news. I would have like to have seen more selection of the Oakley frames but did find one that I liked. Again Savannah was on top of making sure everything was spot on before finishing. I highly recommend Shopko Optical.
