I had my first eye done yesterday for cataract surgery. Every single person was amazing. I was well taken care of before and after surgery! Everything was explained thoroughly, with a smile and showed their sincere concern to make sure I had all my questions answered! Dr Baartman even called me at home at night to see how I was doing! I have my second eye done today!! Looking forward to seeing them again! But mostly just looking forward to Seeing clearly again! Must be an awesome place to work for!! Thank you Vance Thompson staff!

Cataract surgeries at Vance Thompson Vision have been a great experience. The surgeries were performed on back to back days which I really liked. Everyone from Lisa at the front desk, to the techs doing the preliminary testing, to the nurses, anesthesiologist, and finally Dr Baartman were very friendly, kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this practice.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes August 24th-25th. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. The entire staff had big smiles on their faces and were very competent. I felt safe. I highly recommend Dr. Baartman. He came in and introduced himself and answered all my questions before surgery. He's very genuine and competent. He even called later that day to see how I was doing. Very professional with a calming and caring demeanor. I highly recommend him for cataract surgery. I was very anxious and nervous because I had previously had lasik surgery. He was very patient and thorough in educating and walking me through the procedure. His support team was amazing. It was a very positive experience with great results.

Unbelievable !!!! We moved here from California where everybody pretty much has to fend for themselves. I had Cataract surgery done on both my eyes on this Monday and Tuesday of June 12 and 13 by Dr Baartman and could not of had a better experience. After the first surgery on my right eye Monday night he called me to see how I was doing and answered any questions I had. He was by far and away the best doctor that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and genuinely the most caring doctor I have ever dealt with. I recently had cataract surgery at Vance Thompson Vision, where Dr. Brandon Baartman is the surgeon. Dr. Baartman is a very intelligent, knowledgeable, and compassionate surgeon but more than that, he is innovative. He continually investigates new technologies, which offer his patients state-of-the-art procedures that are light years ahead of the status quo. Regarding my personal experience, Dr. Baartman not only came to my bedside immediately before the surgery to quell any fears or concerns I might have, but he also called me at home that night to see how I was doing. Dr. Baartman and everyone at Vance Thompson seem to know how important it is to focus on the experience of the patient, and they go above and beyond to make certain the experience is positive; from warm blankets to lessening the cost of the antibiotics by offering a combination option for post-op care. Also, with their expertise, I was able to choose the best lens option that fits my daily activities, with no pressure to choose one over the other. I chose MONO Intermediate and closeup vision for my right eye and the ALCON Vivity Extended Vision lens for Distance and Intermediate vision for my left eye, and it was the perfect solution since I work at home for my own non-profit and spend most of my time on the computer which needs intermediate focusing. What I also appreciated was being able to go to my own eye doctor, Dr. Heidi Lichtenberg, for follow-up appointments. For the best experience possible, I highly recommend Dr. Baartman at Vance Thompson Vision as the place to go if you need to have cataract surgery!
