Children's Nebraska Optical Shop

It was our first time seeing the opthalmologist office with children's. It would have been a 5-star review if it was just the doctor and front desk staff we had delt with, they were amazing. Our doctor was patient, took her time, explained everything, and answered questions. The front desk staff were cheerful, friendly, and helpful. Our negative experience was with the nurse who took us back to the room and did some of the initial exams. He was very evidently sick (coughing, sneezing, clearing throat, rubbing nose) and was not wearing a mask or gloves while being in close proximity to my child during the exam. The minimum should have been for him to wear a mask and wash hands prior to exam and not be touching his face. He was also very rude while asking the questions about previous health- kept interrupting while I tried to answer and cutting me off. If he was feeling that unwell that he wanted to get things over quickly then he probably needed to stay at home. It felt very ironic that one of the medical staff at the clinic was the one openly spreading germs.

I love the experience that my daughter and I have together yesterday, starting with that nice lady from the front desk to check in, second-, the nurse she took us to the room , very gentle with my daughter, and then the last person who talk about my daughter's condition and explain in a clear way that I was able to understand .

Doctor was great, thorough and communicated well. The receptionist as we were leaving was awful. I said that the doctor wanted an appointment in 2 months, she set it up 4 months out and wouldnt listen to me. Another doctor had to fix the date.

The whole team was great. Our son has autism and epilepsy so the team after never meeting him before made him feel welcomed and appreciated. They treated him with dignity and respect(that hasn't happened at a lot of places we go). Dr . Payton was very kind understanding and helpful.

In 5 yrs we've had 8 procedures/surgeries between my 2 kiddos & today has more than exceeded my expectations. Blessed with our team today!

The Dr. was so great with my 13 month old and even reached out after hours to give us results. Great experience here!

Wonderful experience! We really enjoyed Dr. Ranck. She was incredibly kind and a wonderful provider.

Did not have a great experience this visit. Felt rushed through exam. Dr Rychwalski did not take time to answer my questions - specifically about my son's genetic condition that affects the eyes and told me "not to worry about it". Kind of a red flag for me because at the last visit you said he was legally blind and couldn't see past his forearm. It's fine if you don't know.. or didn't take time to research or even prep for my son's visit, but don't tell me not to worry about it.. I still have many questions, but unfortunately they will have to be answered by a different provider. Hard to trust someone when being brushed off. Can tell we were just another number to him..
