Just be aware that they only have ONE provider that accepts Medicaid. Even though they list all their providers on the Horizon NJ family care website when you look up their practice only one doctor will see you and you will wait a few months. Their website isn't honest about it unfortunately.

The Doctor and staff at front desk and check out where really nice put when I went to the glasses department the staff there where really nasty the attitude they had was disgusting make me feel like I never want to go there to pick glasses Again It was a older blonde lady. I think she was the one in charge of that area.

Everyone is so pleasant and help me with my disability very patient I love Dr Patel she's very thorough

Great office experience...until it wasn't! Wonderful check in staff...sweet and friendly MA that took me back to a very educated , professional Doctor Beene, who was sweet, thorough and informative, to the very kind and pleasant check out person...to the vile vulgar experiences I had to deal with In the eyeglass department with one staff member in particular! I have NEVER been spoken to so RUDELY by medical staff! Was so disrespected that I reported the THREE DIFFERENT instances to the manager of the eyeglass department. I advised her specifically how I was treated and she called me to back to soley focus on the $20 that I owe because something was added to my glasses that I did not approved of nor was I advised I would have to pay additional monies after I paid my copays when I ordered! Unfortunately NOTHING was rectified with the manager and was treated disrespectfully by this SAME staff member once again! I will NEVER return here and Several of my (medical staff) coworkers also had the same experience with this office person and will not return either! Unfortunate this behavior is supported by mgmt! Many hidden fees and rude front staff. Today I went in for a general eye examination, I go yearly as my family has a history of retinal detachment. I was greeted by a "new" front desk person who was very nice but could not figure out my insurance. The manager was not there at the time I entered 20 minutes before my appointment and was not there even 27 minutes later while the new woman was still working on my insurance. To not get so behind they sent me back without my correct insurance information and I told her and the woman taking me back I did not want to do anything that would result in me being charged. I went through my exam and Dr. Patel "fitted" me for contacts even though I told her I had a ton of contacts from my previous visits with another doctor and that I did not need more currently. The type she fitted me with resulted in my left eye contact being very blurry, as I told her technician and Dr. Patel. She said recheck in 2 weeks after I try the contacts out. I told her already that I had a ton of contacts and I do not need more currently, my old contacts work great. When I get out they figured my insurance out and charged me $40 for the "contact fitting." I said I filled out the paper saying I did not want to be charged for any fitting and the rude manager said "well it happened so you need to pay." The appointment took 1.5 hours and I was late for another appointment so I paid and left. If they got my insurance right in the beginning of the appointment and listened to me when I said I wanted no extra charges and did not need more contacts I would not have been charged. Another friend of mine warned me that they did the same thing to her and there are a ton of hidden fees. Needless to say I will not be going back unless this error is rectified. UPDATE: I talked to Dawn the day after my exam and she said she would contact me back shortly to go over what can be done. Since November I have called for an update over 4 times and she still has not reached back out to me. I am waiting for a response Dawn. UPDATE: I disputed the charge and got my money back as Dawn never called me back. Just today I got a bill for the same charges that I disputed. This is unbelievable, so unprofessional and no accountability for there mistakes. So unhappy with this company and Dawn has still never reached out again.

Eye Associates have been my eye doctor for 27 years in my opinion they not only at the best in the business they give the best care of any doctor I see across the board. I would recommend everyone to them no matter where you live. Make the drive.

I had my 2nd cataract surgery in May 2024. While performing this very delicate surgery, Dr. Patel was having conversations with other staff in the room, discussing camping, rafting etc. I had hope Dr. Patel wasn't too distracted & would complete my surgery without incident. Well, on my way home, (20 minutes after the numbing meds wore off) I had the worst pain in my eye. I knew my cornea had been scratched as I have had this happen when I was a teenager. I was in so much pain thank goodness I was able to get an earlier post op appointment. I received a survey & completed it honestly. The office contacted my immediately & said they would speak with Dr. Patel. Never got a phone call or email NOTHING from Dr. Patel. Terrible beside manner. I did not go to my follow appointment, as I was told if I needed glasses the co-pay would be $ 60.00, but if I didn't need glasses then there would be no charge. WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT ?????
