Pearle Vision

I was scheduled for an appointment today at Pearle vision in Woodbridge. That location has closed and will be moving. I was not notified. I called the East Brunswick office and spoke with Kelly Klem. Kelly was very apologetic and told me she knows it would be an inconvenience, but I was more than welcome to come over and they would get me in today in the East Brunswick office. I came to the office was greeted and treated so professionally everyone was friendly my usual eye doctor was here that made me even more happy. this is truly excellent customer service. I hope Kelly gets recognized for her professionalism and caring about her customers.

Evelyn was SO HELPFUL! I came in to the East Brunswick location hoping to fix the prescription for my glasses and she squeezed me in after a cancelation. Evelyn talked me through what would save me the most money, since my insurance wouldn't kick in until the next year. I was able to keep my frames until the new lenses came in and they arrived EARLY by two weeks! AMAZING customer service and great listening. I truly felt taken care of.

This place nickel and dimes you for everything. Forget your vision insurance, these guys will add every single test possible to maximize how much they can charge you (despite no true literature to validate the frequency with which they are recommending it). Save your time and energy and go get your check up somewhere more proficient.

Our visit at Peal Vision in East Brunswick yesterday was very nice as usual. This is our second time there. The ladies were very pleasant and helpful. Evelyn was our representative yesterday. She assisted us with getting glases for my son and scheduling my husband and I appointments. We were very satisfied and happy wirh the service she provided. She even helped us saved over $130 or so yesterday. She was very detailed in explaining how our plan work. We decided we would choose this location for our eye exam and glases!!! Awesone work yesterday Evelyn.. She was patient, mannerable, and kind to us. PS...she was fun. We laughed from the time we walked in to the time were ready to leave. She understood the assignment. Laughter goes a long way!. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Elias helping me with replacement frames was awesome. Service was clear, quick, convenient, and smart.

I had a very positive experience at the East Brunswick location. From checking in to the exam. Location manager, Dana took her time in helping me select my frames and explained everything clearly.

I don't understand all of the positive reviews! This business is disingenuous and a cash cow- I called and specifically asked if they accepted my insurance for glasses explaining I needed new glasses because I couldn't see through my current ones. The receptionist did not answer my question but proceeded to ask me my insurance information. During this process of gathering my info I asked twice if they accepted my insurance for glasses. She did not answer me. The third time I asked she said yes they accept it. I should have let this give me a clue but I set an appointment for the next available because I needed new glasses asap.. Then upon arrival they wanted to sell me two different tests not covered under insurance which thankfully I declined only after a long conversation. I opted for the old eyedrop dilation test instead which was included in my insurance. While I was waiting for the drops to work I asked which frames were covered under my insurance so I could start looking. The lady told me to just look at the frames to see what I liked and she would be right with me. This sounded odd since I know from experience my insurance only covers specific frames. Then I was told they didn't accept my insurance for the lenses only the exam! What?? I asked why they didn't tell me that in the first place? They strung me along because they took what they could which was the exam fee and tried to sell me the rest. Without regard that I was there for glasses covered by my insurance because I couldn't afford glasses without it! The one receptionist did give me a phone number for Safeway and said they accept my insurance for lenses. Safeway ? They happened to be right next door. That was curious .. I don't think I'm the first person that they've ever done this with. The doctor was thorough but overall this company is not integral. I wouldn't trust them.
