Maplewood Village Optical / Cardona Maria I OD

Had my first visit with Dr. Maria Cardona and I was extremely pleased. She was polite, knowledgeable , personable, professional and made me feel super comfortable. Her staff was wonderful.

The ophthalmologists here are amazing -- very detailed, kind, and professional. I truly felt cared for during the eye exam. However, I found the glasses to be very expensive for what felt like just okay quality. The biggest downside was the reception staff. I understand they're busy and working hard, but their attitude toward me felt very unkind, as if I was bothering them just for asking questions. You can be tired and still be kind. I'm grateful for the doctors, but the front desk experience needs improvement.

My initial visit to Dr. Cardona was a month ago, and I was very pleased with the experience. From the time I checked in until I departed, everyone was professional, pleasant, and efficient. The office is clean, quiet, and space is efficiently organized. Dr. Cardona was thorough in her assessments and explanations on that initial visit. I went back for a follow-up visit today, and had the same pleasant experience. I am completely satisfied with the vision care services provided by Dr. Maria Cardona and highly recommended her.

These guys saved my butt today! Extremely appreciative. In the middle of this pandemic, my glasses broke. Super glad they were open, and delighted that they have the same frame and size I needed still in stock. They swapped out my lenses, which wasn't easy, and sent me home with a whole new setup and a scheduled due exam for next week (which I'm overdue for!!). Thank you thank you thank you! We really like doctor Cardona. All the staff is always friendly and accommodating. A true gem in the village.

I've been going here for a couple of years. The staff is very professional. Incredibly helpful and sweet. This office has a great array of frames to choose from AND I can bring in my own frames to add prescription lenses in them. They even see children for eye exams are work super well with them! Dr. Cardona really cares about ensuring that my vision is her top priority. I know they are very busy with patients, phone calls, orders and everything, but this office really dedicated time to me when I was there. I didn't feel like I was just another patient who had to go in and be out but felt super welcome and cared for. I love their patience and willingness to help me. I recommend this doctor to anyone!

Dr Cardona and her staff are the best! My family and I have been seeing her for many years. Everyone in her office is friendly, professional and accommodating, and they are very familiar with various insurance plans and ensure all of my insurance plan benefits are applied. Exams are thorough and easy. The eyeglass frame selection is great and turn-around time on prescription orders is normal. We always recommend Dr. Cardona to our friends.

We had the best experience with Dr Cardona this morning. My almost 3 year old has been wearing glasses for 1.5 years and we had a terrible experience at her previous eye doctor. Dr Cardona made my daughter feel so welcomed. She was calm and happy to work with my daughter and had patience with her when she was hesitant or struggling to see an image. So happy we found this practice and look forward to going back for all future appointments!
