Dr. Lanciano was rude and tactless. He treated me as though I was half the age I actually am, and demonstrated the kind of patience I'd expect from someone half as old as that. I had early onset floaters in both eyes since I was 17 years old. I learned to get used to them for many years, but I started noticing more and more since 2023. Around mid September of this year, I noticed two new floaters in my right eye. One was fixed in the center of my vision, and the other was located in the periphery of my eye, but was easily the largest one I ever had. It was more shadowy and drape-like than the kind of floaters I was used to. Naturally, I was very stressed and worried. When I arrived, I was open with my concerns to both the nurse and Dr. Lanciano. Despite my inward worry, my tone was calm and my nerves were under control. Simply being in the office had given me some respite from the stress I had dealt with the previous few days. Dr. Lanciano examined my right eye and found some inflammation that he suspected was Uveitis. But here's where things went downhill. He wanted to perform a test that involved pressing a clear glassy object on to my open eyeball. Despite them applying a topical numbing fluid on to my eye, the object still caused me pain which caused me to jolt back slightly every time Dr. Lanciano tried to make contact. He tried this three times, and became visibly more frustrated with each try. Again, it took a grand total of three tries before Lanciano lost his patience. Mind you, the object was pressed against MY open eyeball. Not his. It wasn't exactly a comfortable experience. And for some reason, this set him over the edge. A few minutes passed and he sat down to discuss my diagnosis. He said that I'd be better off had the earlier test been successful since I'd know if it truly was Uveitis. But the chance of him attempting to readminister the test was, in his own words, "not gonna happen." A bitter and begrudging tone right off the bat. He said that I was "too hyper" and he made numerous remarks about the severity of what he percieved to be my stress. But here's the kicker. He wasn't saying any of this to me. He was speaking to my fiance...whom I was sitting right next to. Instead of addressing me directly as one adult speaking to another adult, he opted to speak about me to someone else, while I was still present in the room. I've never felt so insulted by a doctor in my whole life. While I expressed my concerns to him when I first arrived, I was nevertheless calm and collected. No hyperactivity to speak of. The "hyper" behavior he was talking about, was me lightly flinching three times when he pressed a dense, glassy object on to my eye. Such a non-event is what triggered his attitude. Impatience of this degree is unbecoming of someone with a medical degree. Overall, an insulting, rude, and abysmal experience. Instead of exercising compassion, critical thinking, actual patience, and the common courtesy to address me directly, he treated me like a child and lost his patience over something so trivial. I will not be returning to his office.

If you have any eye concern or issues, I would highly recommend Dr. Lanciano ! I had an injury at work and was sent to him from an urgent care. He was extremely thorough. He explained everything and told me his concerns. His front desk staff were exceptional. My company's department dropped the ball and his staff fixed all the issues with insurance and referral. The front office person Candy was so nice and helpful. The nurse Dana was also a pleasure and made me feel comfortable despite my eye injury. What a great office! I would Highly recommend Dr. Lanciano's team.

I have known Doc Lanciano for decades he is an amazing doctor and I trust him with my sight. He would drop whatever he is doing to make you feel seen no pun intended. Just an amazing man.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lanciano since 2009, Doc is a very straight forward Person and Doctor, every patient that e is examining gets 100 percent of His undivided attention, He is by far The very BEST, I have recommended Doc to my family and friends. The office staff are very friendly and professional, and make your visit comfortable Bill Borda

My wife and I had to report to Dr. Lanciano for a medical exam for an injury that she sustained at work. Because she was struck on the head by a heavy object, he tested her vision for damage. He took the time to systematically examine her fully and went above and beyond to help us in a caring and respectful manner!

Today, I wasted $30 Ubering to an office that hasn't been open since 2020 because Lanciano eye doctors couldn't be bothered to update their address on Google or with the insurance companies they work with. I called and spoke to them yesterday and confirmed my appointment and they didn't even mention it! This could have been avoided if they had sent the new patient packet as they had promised, but that was also never done. Their only other office is 40 minutes away -- I would have never booked them if I knew that. Absolutely 0 stars for wasting my time and my money, and not offering so much as an apology about it or reimbursing me for my rides. Complete negligence on behalf of the provider to not bother updating their information for nearly 3 years. If this is how they handle their communications then you certainly cannot trust them with your vision.

Edit: As if my previous review from 8 months ago (below) was not bad enough, 8 months after my visit, this office tried to double bill me for services my insurance already paid and tried to double bill them also!! Which is fraud!! Unbelievable!! Stay as far from this place as you can!! Seriously. I have never experienced this with any doctor office. I was surprised to see my experience with this dr was similar to another posters. The first visit was great. I even referred my husband. But the second visit was rushed, he was downright rude and condescending. I caught a front desk person whispering to another about me. Lastly, I was told in first visit I needed an additional test that could not be done cause they had already put drops in my eye and I had to return just for that test. When I returned I was charged an additional copay! I had to literally pay for their error of not conducting test prior to using drops! I will definitely not be returning or refer anyone here again.

He's the best in the business and I recommend him to all of my friends and family. He and his office staff went above and beyond to help me. Thanks, Lanciano Office!!
