My sister has been going to Dr Gendy for years. My mother has been going to her recently as well. I'm 38, and I have been going to eye doctors since I was 5 years old. Dr Gendy gave me the most thorough eye exam that I have ever had in my life. She was very professional and very polite. She explained different things to me so I could understand what each of these tests did and what the results showed.

It was such appalling behavior from someone in the medical profession to turn away a patient after having the gall to have my parents sit in the waiting area 15 minutes past my father's scheduled eye appointment, leaving no explanation or apology to excuse her unprofessionalism. This is inexcusable behavior from someone working in the public eye, especially in the medical field. That is why her ratings are low after reading the poor reviews about the lack of professionalism from on her end from other clients. No respectable doctor would behave in such an appalling manner. My father is in a dire emergency to get his eyes checked, as his vision is beginning to deteriorate, and she had had the nerve to dismiss my parents as though they were not a priority. My mother was visibly upset about the ordeal, and perhaps she should have regulated her emotions better, but how this "professional" acted in turn, only added fuel to the fire. Unfortunately, she was one of the few eye doctors in the Monmouth County area, but certainly not one of the best around. So, with that said, we'll gladly take our business elsewhere, even if we have to commute farther to find a good eye specialist and one with proper etiquette. What's funny is she doesn't have a single staff member in sight working for her, which is already a red flag. Luckily, this ordeal turned out to be a blessing in disguise and that this so-called-"professional" decided not to proceed to deal my family under her care, otherwise she would have ended-up causing irreversible damage to my father's eyes! I would never recommend this woman to anyone until she gets her attitude in check. Never has my family experienced such unfair treatment before today. I should know since I have had to be both chauffer and advocate for my mother for each doctor's visit due to her various medical conditions. Disgusting!

I've been patient of Dr. Gendy for about ten years. She is wonderful. My wife goes to her, too. Dr Gendy took the time to learn my (vision) history and conducts thorough eye exams, which I find very reassuring. She explains her findings and any needed treatment in an easy to understand manner. Dr. Gendy truly cares about my vision/eye health. In addition, her selection of eye wear is top quality and style. Dr. Gendy is my favorite doctor.

Dr. Gendy is a kind, compassionate practitioner who takes time to get to know her patients and conduct a very thorough examination. I have been very pleased with the care Dr. Gendy has given to my family.
