I have been seeing Susan Walton for many years, over 20 years i think. She does a very thorough assessment of my eyes which takes about an hour and includes visual fields and can include colour perception. She has a good range of frames for glasses on-site and the range of frames is changed every two years or so. The fitting of the frames is thorough. If new glasses are needed its only about 2 weeks wait for the new glasses to be ready. Of course that can vary depending on supply from the manufacturer.
I have found the receptionists competent, friendly and helpfull.

Reception is not family friendly. Communication should be provided when the optometrist is running over half an hour late for appointments and young children who have rushed straight from school without being fed to make the appointment on time are waiting. If this had of been provided we would not have driven half an hour in as it made us late for our other commitments that afternoon, and the children would have had time to eat prior to the appointment. The receptionists manner could be a lot more child friendly too.
