Kaplan Allen I OD

I have been a patient of Dr Kaplan for many years. He is a wonderful Doctor. He goes above and beyond with his patients. He explains everything you need to know. I've never been rushed. He gives you time to ask questions or concerns and get answers. I like his personality. I've never had any problems with the staff. I find them to be warm and friendly.with nice personalities.

Takes the time to answer your questions. My eyesight quality was dropping quickly and he explained it all to me in a way I could understand and made me feel at ease. My prescription is spot on. Great guy.

He is the best. Very kind and thorough. He likes to joke too. I like him and recommend him to everyone His staff is professional as well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kaplan's for about 4 years. I am diabetic, and therefore have some specialized eye issues. Dr. Kaplan is thorough, kind, and very knowledgeable. I don't understand some reviews here that mention rude office staff--they are lovely and very helpful. My husband is also a patient. Last year he got a piece of metal in his eye, and the office got him in immediately. I would recommend Dr. Kaplan highly.

Just had my first visit as a new patient and was very happy with my appointment. My previous eye doctors office shutdown and Kaplan's office was the only place that was able to get me in. Everyone else I called was either not accepting new patients or they were booked out months in advance. The lady that set up my appointment was very nice and the two ladys that helped me the day of my appointment with getting my insurance set up and helping with choosing glasses were also very nice. Dr. Kaplan was awesome he was thorough and explained everything to me with great detail during my exam. I'm definitely happy with my all around experience at Dr. Kaplan's office and will be going back.

the receptionist is terrible, rude, does not smile. She should not work there. However Dr. Kaplan is wonderful with my kids. the last visit I said I'd never go back due to the receptionist. When Dr. Kaplan saw my kids that day, he did a great job joking with them and making them feel less anxious. I decided to stay.

I find it amazing to me how this place is even open. I am now actively looking again for a new eye DR. I am a Diabetic who needs yearly eye exams. I was excited to find this place so close to home and local. All went down hill after my first exam and new glasses. My pair of glasses were terrible and did not last I was just going to get them fixes so I brought them in. Waited 2 weeks for the frames had to call them to find out they were even in then was told that they could not put my lens into these new frames that they were damaged but my insurance covers new lens. 2 more weeks go by a month now no glasses have them call to find out what is going on . " oh yes we have them let us install the lens an can come get them "was able to pick up 2 days later. NOW I send my wife to go get them as I was at work she brings them home i take out the glasses they gave her my old damaged frames with new lens, so now were calling them back they said oh well those frames looked ok but you can bring them in. Now they said well your old frames aren't really damaged. I asdked i know you ordered them do you have them yes we do can we put them side by side. oh now we can see the entire guard on both side has teared and fell off. I have to wait again cause the person who can fix this is not in so i wait get the glasses back again. The gleasses finally right lens in the right frames. But the lens are installed not straight and flalling out of the frames on both sides. I am still here about 3 months later trying to get the same glasses fixed now due for my yearly eye exam and new yearly glasses. I will be actively looking for a new Eye Dr. Please beware if you are someone who needs eye exams and relies on glasses do not go here. Poorly managed, understaffed. Staff members are rude and generally have no idea what they are doing. I had one lady tell me i cant make you an appt the lady who does appts isn't here today. They shut the phones off impossible to reach them. rarely return phone calls. just save yourself the the situation i went through and find any other Eye Dr. Dr,Kaplan Himself very Kind Humble man. Had no Problems with Dr or my Exam

Dr. Kaplan is very kind and extremely knowledgeable in his field. He informed me that my eye was impaired due to radiation before anyone else did. His professional yet caring demeanor put me at ease concerning my vision. He is just an all around excellent doctor.
