Troidl Optical

My experience with Troidl is NOT a positive review. I received a voicemail from an employee of Troidl basically telling me that the owner does NOT TRUST his customers. I've spoken with the owner my self and he basically admitted as so. He went on to share a story of a cousin of his, who is a Police Officer and how he stiffed him on a bill, therefore, he can't trust anyone. Presently, I'm in Texas and my husband has eye glasses that were under Warranty. Unfortunately, the coating on the lenses faded away. While we were back home in NY we visited Troidl to explain our situation. We left there under the assumption that everything was fine and his new lense would be forwarded to our Texas address. However, a couple weeks later we received the phone, stating that the owner does not trust my husband mailing him back the old lenses. Eric, the owner insists my husband mail his glasses to him for Troidl to swap out the lenses or for us to give him a $250 deposit along with money for postage. I told him that, this was not discussed and how could he change in mid stream. For one my husband does not have an extra pair of eyeglasses in the meantime, besides we bought these glasses in good faith. We never questioned their trustworthiness with handling our purchase. This company left us feeling unworthy with Eric's degrading and condescending message that was left on my voicemail. After personally speaking to Eric, The Owner, he refused to work with my husband until he either had the glasses or a deposit of $250. Please understand, we purchased the glasses that was well over $1000.00 and had them mailed to our Texas address. Not once did we say to him that we didn't trust him to mail them, however, that's not what he thinks of his customers. I've discussed to my husband prior to the purchase, that I felt uncomfortable with this company. My husband insists on giving them business. My gut instinct NEVER fails me. I would ask if anyone purchases anything going further, ask yourself is this company worth your time and money when they don't trust you? My husband and I are upstanding citizens and NEVER gave Troidl reason not to believe us mailing them the defected lenses. This Company will be rated by the Better Business Bureau and further actions would be taken. I thought this day in age that we were past judging people by the color of their skin. However, this company has proved me wrong!

I dropped a box on my glasses and broke one of the arm. I was so worried because I didn't have any extra pair to use it, it would've ruined my whole 2-3 weeks until I get my new pairs done. I went to couple different place but they wanting me to buy $100-$200 pair for new glasses to be done on same day and told me that my glasses couldn't be fixed which was completely false. But thanks to Troidl Optics, I went there hoping that it can be done in 2-3 days and be cheaper. But they proved me wrong, they fixed the arm just UNDER 15 MINUTES!!!! With little to no cost!! The location is great, the staff is friendly, polite and nice. They care about their customers problems and do their best to fix it. I will recommend anyone who I know to go there and use their service which is quick and affordable!!!

Outstanding experience. I had a pair of broken sunglasses that I needed fixed. I had taken them to two other eye repair places who were unable to help. Triodl was able to fix them in under an hour! And! They replaced my lenses, which were scratched. Such a great experience. Everyone I encountered on their team was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I saw the great reviews and just stopped in here because I desperately needed to repair my Maui Jim sunglass frames. Eric went above and and beyond and did the impossible! I am so pleased!!! Saved me so much money. Honest, friendly and great staff too. Down home service like the way service should to be and is here! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I have to recommend Eric and his staff. I was working in WNY and as glasses do my mine broke. Without an appointment Eric not only saw me but put my lenses into a frame for me so I could make my remaining appointments. I have since become a patient and have experienced the same high level of service since. I would STRONGLY Recommend! Keep up the great work.

Troidl Optical has been our optometrist for several years. The team there is extremely thorough and professional, while also friendly. In addition to their wonderful customer service, they are also very knowledgeable and care about your eyes, and what is the best possible solution for you while also being conscious of cost. You are treated extremely well, the atmosphere is inviting and friendly, and they are very up to date on fashion eyewear trends with a really great selection. Highly recommend.

I always went to the "buy 2 pairs for $69.00 places" until I discovered a REAL EYE DOCTOR. The family friendly Troidl Optical is a must for someone who wants kind, knowledgeable staff who is concerned with the best options for you, not just the quick sale. I have been going to them since 2002 when I moved into the neighborhood. While it may be more than the other eye places, it is the quality, friendly attitudes and the service you get from them that sets Troidl apart.

Went in to Troidl's today, first time being there and the customer service was great. You can tell that they care about helping you out. I was in an out quickly and I didn't feel pressured into buying anything additional. Truly nice people and I will surely go back for contact/glasses needs
