OCLI Vision East Meadow

OCLI continues to spam my email.. I try to unsubscribe, but they just use different email addresses over the years. That's a terrible thing to do to your patients.

I recently visited this office for the first time in years for a routine eye exam and to address concerns about occasional double vision, especially when I'm tired. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. David Sachs was extremely disappointing. He came across as condescending, sarcastic, and completely disinterested. I've never encountered a doctor with such a lack of professionalism and bedside manner. Throughout the appointment, I felt dismissed and unheard, which made me very uncomfortable. After dilating my eyes, he wanted to perform an additional test involving images and asked me to wait in the reception area. At that point, I decided to leave, as I was certain I would never return. I'm now searching for a provider who takes their patients seriously and communicates with basic respect and empathy. At first, I thought I might have been overreacting, but after reading reviews from other patients, it seems this kind of behavior is a pattern. I'm disappointed but not surprised to learn I'm not the only one who's had this experience. On a positive note, the front desk staff was very pleasant and welcoming.

Dr. Sachs is the best, professional, courteous, answers all my questions professionally and patiently.

It's my second time taking my 83 year old uncle to this office. It's the last time. To say the receptionist/ check in person was curt, rude, dismissive and just unkind would be an understatement. Then her colleague joined her in said behavior. Dr. Botwinick has always been professional but I absolutely do not recommend this office. There are other opthamologists offices that are courteous and decent to ALL their clients.

The staff is incredibly efficient and friendly. Dr. David Sachs did cataract surgery on both my eyes. Incredible result. Dr. Sachs is a real professional, with a fantastic "bedside manner". He is very informative and friendly...and truly cares. I couldn't be more pleased with the results and overall experience with the OCLI office in East Meadow!!

Always a pleasant atmosphere. Little waiting time. Dr Sachs explains everything very clearly and always ask if you have any concerns or questions. I have been going to Dr. Sachs for many years and never had an issue. He always calls personally after any surgeries/procedures. I highly recommend him and appreciate his services. Anne OToole

My experience at OCLI was very good. The staff and Technicians are very caring and very efficient. Dr Sachs is caring and always takes the time to answers whatever questions you may have. The care at OCLI and Dr. Sachs I find to be exceptional!!!

All of my experiences at OCLI have been very pleasant. I received excellent service even after my first cataract surgery with Dr. Sachs. The staff, surgical coordinator have been most helpful. I trust this facility with caring for my vision! Procedure #2 done and another great experience. Ran into a slight concern on my post op visit but once again, Dr. Sachs was right on it and extremely attentive and addressed it. OCLI has a great team in East Meadow.
