Dr. Lessing is a fabulous doctor. She is thorough in her care. While sometimes you have to wait a bit; it's worth it.

I've been a patient of Dr. Lessing for many years and have had successful cataract surgery and multi-focal lens implants. No more glasses and now go for routine checkups. Never have an issue getting an appointment and the staff are very pleasant.

Recommended by another ophthalmologist. Waited over 2 months for an appointment as a new patient, then waited in the office for an hour before I had to leave for another appointment. I asked to reschedule, was told it would be another 2 month wait. Are you kidding me? Terrible scheduling. Maybe Dr. Lessing is a great ophthalmologist, maybe not, but if you need to see one in any reasonable amount of time, go elsewhere. Front desk staff was indifferent, nor apologetic for the long wait. It seemed as if this was just business as usual. New patients are apparently neither welcome nor a priority here.

Over schedules and makes you wait. Had me wait while she talked to a salesman. Additional charge for eye prescription, which she claimed is a NYS law! Very disorganized!! Walked out. Never going back

Front desk staff is very pleasant. My main gripe is the lack of communication from the doctor. I arrived ten minutes earlier than my daughters, scheduled appt. It took 15 minutes to check in, as they were training a new person. No big deal...we were not in a rush. Once speaking with the doctor about concerns I have with my daughter, the doctor puts a solution in her eyes. The receptionist walked over to the room and informed the doctor that her patients have arrived, and seated them in the room next to ours. We speak briefly as she gathered some information, quick eye sight check and then tells my daughter that she will be back. No word as to how long or if we are waiting for anything in particular to occur-just that she will be back. She is now assisting her other patients while we wait in the other room. 15 minutes go by before I decide to get up and ask the doctor if we're waiting for anything. She replies with, "yes, she's dilating". Umm ok. Would have been nice to know that. I go back to the room and wait another 10 minutes before the doctor finally comes back and finishes examining my daughter. A simple conversation letting me know what to expect, would have been all I needed. The perception was that she left us to assist her existing patients. I have no problem with multi tasking but inform your patients so they're not twiddling their thumbs, getting more and more aggravated, due to lack of communication. That was our first and our last appointment at this office.

Doesn't bother to return patient calls, messages and concerns. Is disinterested and disengaged with her patient's needs.

Great staff, clean office, Dr Lessing was great did a thorough exam and we are working on my vision issues.

Too bad I couldn't see this recommended doctor. I waited over an hour . What a shame. Terrible scheduling.
