I found Dr. Zhang from an online BVD questionnaire which so thoroughly described many of my oddly specific symptoms I was experiencing, that I wondered if I had written the questionnaire myself. Dr. Zhang was eager to do a discovery and consultation call to ask me all about my answers on the questionnaire. He and his staff are very thorough and kind. Many eye doctors tend to get frustrated with me and blame me for not having vision clear or consistent enough to tell the difference immediately between lenses being tested, but Dr. Zhang is very patient, which helped me to not panic and shut down out of feeling like I'm wasting the doctor's precious time due to the state of my eyes. Thanks to him I could get a fine-tuned eyeglasses prescription for my light sensitivity, astigmatism, nearsightedness, and binocular vision dysfunction between how my eyes work together. A month after getting my glasses, my eyes have relaxed and no longer consistently ache which is greatly improving my quality of life. My nausea, dizziness, light sensitivity, and motion sickness are significantly reduced, and I am a lot more steady on my feet. I also no longer accidentally punch my hand into items I am trying to grab due to poor depth perception. Insurance doesn't cover all of the testing, or the microprism lenses themselves, but it is well worth the investment. The glasses help more than my old standard glasses without microprism lenses. I look forward to continued improvement in the future. I will be back for checkups, and my experience at Eastern Eye Care has piqued the curiosity of family and friends who are struggling with some similar issues. Dr. Zhang seems to be genuinely overjoyed to help a person feel better with treatment for BVD especially, with subtle BVD being an ignored condition by way of mainstream medicine, affecting many people's quality of life. I've had such a wonderful experience at Eastern Eye Care. I hadn't been to an optometrist in years, so there was a lot of trial and error getting my vision right again. Dr. Zhang was incredibly thorough and patient the entire time, and never made me feel rushed. He offered multiple contact lens options, helped me figure out what actually worked for my eyes, and was just as thoughtful when it came to my glasses. Peter at the front desk deserves a shout-out too. He's patient, helpful, and genuinely kind. The whole team made me feel cared for, which is rare these days. Highly recommend.

Dr. Zhang treated me for binocular vision dysfunction (BVD), a condition I only discovered by chance and that very few doctors in the U.S. can properly diagnose. I was thrilled to find his office within reasonable distance to my home. Booking my assessment was easy, and the evaluation itself was almost two hours long, extremely thorough, and never felt rushed or overwhelming. I've struggled with symptoms like dizziness, poor depth perception, neck tension, headaches, double vision, nausea, anxiety, adhd, poor balance and more for most of my life, and for the first time I felt like someone truly understood what was going on. The price of his services is appropriate and it was great that his office is open on Sundays.I highly recommend Dr. Zhang and his team to anyone dealing with BVD or related challenges, his expertise and care have been life-changing.

Dr. Zhang's diagnosis of my binocular visual dysfunction (BVD) was transformative. His specialized examination was well-informed and thorough. The prism lenses he prescribed have increased my quality of life tremendously.

Dr Zheng is very paced but is thorough. He takes time to place different power lenses and glasses on your kid to give the best possible glasses. Place is extremely clean and nice looking.

2026: I was treated well so I returned. Dr. Zhang is a careful listener. As he performs his tests, he takes time to ask appropriate questions to insure he'll be giving me the best possible vision. He's also knowledgeable about our insurance and applies it whenever applicable. And, if this helps you trust your provider, he's very personable - a fellow human being. 2025: First time for me. My wife read the online positive reviews, came here first and loved her care here...so I came next. Staff is very welcoming. State of the art equipment. I'm 77 and have had a lot of medical adventures so I appreciated their patience in testing my eyes and fitting me for new lenses.
