DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE EVER! This place is a joke!! My first visit to this place I told the Dr. what was wrong with my eyes. (Did my research) But no he didn't listen to what I said and the medication that would fix my problem with my eyes. So he prescribed these drops(Tobramycin and Dexamethasone)that worked while I was using them. Once I stopped my eyes were right back to the start. Then he prescribed Erythromycin optical ointment and guess what it didnt work!! So I've used two prescriptions with no results. They told me to go to a Dermatologist or to URGENT CARE...um ok, are they for real? I have to pay cash for my visit to Grand Island Optical and they want me to come in again and waste my money REALLY?. I just couldn't believe it! So I can waste more cash for him to screw up with ANOTHER MEDICATICATION! Not the one I told him I needed. HE NEEDS TO BRUSH UP ON NEW THINGS THAT COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR EYES!

Extremely happy with Diana, the Doc, and everyone else at GI optical. I never needed glasses my entire life, so I wish I didn't have to go in there at all... but it's not their fault I'm getting old! They made it very easy, I was in and out, and had my first-ever pair of glasses like three days later. Reasonably priced, friendly, great experience over all.

First time visiting Grand Island Optical for my sons' eye exams. Receptionist was friendly and got us an appointment pretty quickly. Got to the appointment and they went right in for their exams. The Dr. was very friendly as well as the other staff. Facility was new and modern and very clean. One of my sons was fitted for glasses and they were ready in just a couple of days! I have no complaints and was extremely happy with the service. We'll definitely be back!

moved to the island and decided it was also time to get my eyes checked. I was charged over $500 for frames and lenses after insurance. I have no special prescription. I genuinely believe they messed up our insurance. I asked repeatedly for them to lay things out and explain them. it still doesn't make any sense to me how insurance didn't bring that price down. a year or so later I asked for my prescription so I could get new frames. they wanted to charge me for my prescription. my own prescription that I originally paid for through the eye exam and the enormous price for glasses. absolutely unbelievable. it's been 5 years since I've gone back for a check up because over the last decad my eyes have barely changed and I had such a bad and expensive experience here I wasn't about to spend $500 a year on a check up and new glasses. today I went for a check up at a different practice. I was told my prescription was too strong. I am well under the age of 40 so the chance of this happening is like 3%. I was offered neurolenses due to an issue I have been experiencing recently and migraines. this is a very new type of lense and they told me insurance wouldn't cover them, but they run deals for a lower price. so, this time I still have a very generic prescription, but special lenses and the glasses are running me about as much as I paid for a very normal, generic frames and lenses last time. five years ago. unbelievable and definitely a rip off if you go here.

I have been going to Grand island Optical for many years, in fact I wouldn't go anywhere else. They always are professional and friendly, even when I'm taking additional time to pick out my frames! I'm very vain like that! They supply so many choices that it's near impossible to make a decision and always assist me when I ask for their opinion! I had a problem seeing after the eye drops, so now it's in my chart to ask me before putting them in- reminding me of their importance! Dr Bill, as I call him, makes the eye exam enjoyable! Not to mention their brand new beautiful building! They even remained open durning this Covid-19 virus, constantly disinfecting while I was there. Their office staff is always friendly and even offered me my morning coffee while I was waiting and browsing their large assorted of designer sunglasses! I highly recommended Dr Bill and Grand Island Optical for not only your eye exam, but for also your eye fashion wear!

Beautifully decorated office with state-of-the-art equipment for eye exams. Dr. Waldron takes his time to give a very precise eye exam. This office also has the best selection of frames. I couldn't be happier. Thank you for the great service!
