The doctor giving the exam was fine, although it felt rushed. That's the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. I ordered glasses the same day and was told I would receive a call when they arrived in 7-10 days. That was on January 23, going on 3 weeks ago. I have now called 4 times with no one able to provide any answers at all on the status of my glasses, and simply requesting I call back. I am beyond frustrated with this situation.

Like so many other people that have left reviews, IT WAS NOT DOCTOR BECKER, it was ordering the eye glasses. It took weeks for them to be ordered, and when the finally came in they were WRONG. The wrong prescription, the wrong type (tri-focals, I think...) and now no one will talk to me. We spent over $500 on two pairs of glasses and now I have a couple of lightweight paperweights. I have tried SEVERAL times to get assistance, via email and via phone, and there has been NO RESPONSE. Glasses were ordered in March, so I'm going to assume we are out the $500. Pretty hard pill to swallow.

We like Dr. Becker and he was great with our child who needed glasses. We had an issue the first time we had to order a pair and were given misinformation and they weren't ordered until weeks after they were supposed to. We went back because our child is younger and was familiar with Dr. Becker, their vision had gotten so bad they have to squint to see anything and have a headache every day...after getting a new prescription from the dr the person working in the office told us they couldn't figure out our insurance but that they would bill them and then send us the remainder but that the glasses should be in shortly. It's been more than a month, my kid still has a daily headache and I've called the office repeatedly and no one can tell me when they will be in or whats taking so long. Today I called again and got told someone would call me back shortly and that was hours ago. I don't recommend going here unless you want to wait forever and get the run around.

This office has had my 10-year-old son's glasses since January. It is now the end of May. We have been given the runaround multiple times, with many excuses made for why things still aren't ready . . . people being fired, the glasses being in someone's backpack who isn't working that day, the office not being open, the frames not fitting when they came in, and on and on. At least 90% of the time when we try to call, no one answers. I cannot give this business a low enough rating. Do yourself a huge favor and get your glasses elsewhere!

The office hours are irregular, service is spotty, staff is thoroughly unhelpful. After trying in vain to give my business to a local concern, I finally threw up my hands and went to Visionworks in Oneida. It's a woman-owned business, great service and prompt handling. I had my eye exam and ordered my glasses the same day. Highly recommended.

I like Dr. Becker. I had an appointment in the fall, got a new prescription, but needed to wait until the new year to get my new lenses. Getting lenses was a whole different issue. Complete incompetence might cover it. I had left my glasses there after being told it would take one to two weeks to get the lenses because of my insurance. After two weeks I called them only to find out that the lenses I wanted were out of stock (with blue blocker) and were put on back order. I picked up my glasses and waited. After the back order date hit I didn't hear anything so I called. The lenses were in, but they didn't bother to call this time either. And keep in mind I had paid for these when I ordered them. After that I dropped my glasses off and guess what? Two days later I still hadn't heard anything. I called them and found out that the lenses they ordered were too small and would need to be reordered. Instead I opted for lower quality lenses without the blue blocker and I picked up my glasses. I immediately complained as the glasses made me dizzy and gave me a headache. When I told them this they suggested that my prescription was wrong (from their own doctor) or that my PD distance was wrong (which they measured). I then compared these glasses to my old glasses and could easily determine that my left eye was a weaker prescription than my old glasses. I told them this and they told me that I was incorrect, that if that was the case they would have identified it in their own "quality control" procedures before the glasses left the room. At this point I decided to take the glasses to a third party and have them checked out. I went to a Lenscrafters at the mall. It turns out that they put a blank demo lens in my glasses. No prescription at all in one of the eyes, while the other was my new stronger prescription. This was causing my issues. I then purchased new lenses from Lenscrafters with blue blocker and got them put in in about an hour. I called and notified Eyecare of CNY and left a message that I would be sending the lenses back for a refund. I sent the lenses back priority mail with tracking and they were delivered last week. I called to check and guess what? They were still sitting in the mail box because they don't even bother to check their mail. They opened up the package and told me just by looking that the faulty lens was clearly a demo lens. They then tried to argue with me stating that they couldn't have put this lens in. Please understand that this demo lens was cut to fit my glasses. I can't cut lenses. I bought these glasses with prescription lenses in them over a year ago and I never have had blank lenses in them. I didn't buy these glasses off the rack. They accused me of mixing things up. At one point they stated that Warby Parker sent me blank lenses somehow, although I have never been a customer of Warby Parker and that's not where I bought the frames. I'm not sure where they pulled that name from. There was no way that I could have gotten a perfectly fit blank lens from anyone else. Considering that they told me they could tell on sight that this wasn't the right lens means that they didn't even look at these before they gave them to me. There are only three things that could have happened. They fraudulently gave me a blank lens. They ignorantly gave me a blank lens. I went out of my way to obtain a blank lens from a third party in order to defraud them by returning the glasses for my $120 copay and in the process paid over $300 out of pocket for new lenses from Lenscrafters that I can't report to insurance until my other return is processed, which would have been a brilliant scheme to cost myself tons of extra money, but that's about it. In the end they didn't try to defraud me, but they are incompetent. They don't regularly answer their phones. They don't return phone calls. They don't notify customers of delays. They don't admit their own mistakes and take responsibility for them. They blame customers for their mistakes. Buyer beware!

Tried to make an appointment for updating my lenses (haven't done that in over 3 years) after answering questions, including having to give them my daughters name as she suggested them, they told me no. I have no eye insurance and this was going to be self pay, but because I have Fidelis HEALTH Insurance they said they couldn't see me. Why you ask??? They blamed Fidelis, first I've heard of it. So I called Chenango Eye Associates and I have an appointment in June. If you have Fidelis for HEALTH Insurance don't waste your time calling.
